Shopping Square customer service: bad experience

I'm having the worst experience with Shopping Square's customer "support" team and I would like to share it with you.

I bought during the first Hot Hour two items that were not properly described on the website. I've been charged 20c more that what the invoice said. I contacted the customer "support" team to cancel the order after also seeing on the invoice the description that was supposed to be on the website (and if it would have been there, I wouldn't have bought the items in the first place). They replied saying the order has been shipped and they cannot do anything about it. The tracking number they gave me was not valid even three business days after their so called "despach date". Seeing that, I contacted danilochan here and straight away the "support" team contacted me saying there were able to stop the delivery "at their own cost" (makes me laugh). They also promised me a refund to be received on October 30. After contacting them again to complain about not receiving the refund, I finally got a refund on November 3 less the 20c I've been overcharged in the first place. After complaining again, they gave me 1000 useless squarepoints to "use for my next order" instead of 20c. The thing is that you can only use the points if you have a minimum of 5000 points, which I don't. Ok, 20c is nothing, but the way they treat a customer leaves a lot to be desired…

Another thing that pissed me off is that the free shipping coupon doesn't work on http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_10656_35_GPS_Carry_Case that I was thinking to buy from them. They say the code cannot be used with items that are part of on-going promotions, but this item is not.

Anyway, I guess it's time to erase shopping square from my list…and complain to paypal.

Stop crying like a baby over 20c. The fact that you complained about losing your 20c means you have no dignity anyway.

i disagree, its not about the 20c, but the fact they overcharged the customer more than the advertised price.

I agree with Davo. Stop being arrogant Hustle Game

  • On a broader scale this could be like those stories of bank employees who siphon $0.01 off their customers transactions and earn a collective million in the process. Technically it is taking something you don't own and is therefore stealing. I hate it when those Subway employees short-change me. I've sat there watching every second customer not even look twice at what change they got back. Needless to say I avoid that Subway now.
