Referrer and referee get $30 credit.
I agree. What is the benefit of using the service of Hotel Tonight?
The best thing to do is to check out the rates yourself! I have booked via HT in Las Vegas and paid just 25$ extra for the room per night!! But it can vary from hotel to hotel and night to night!
well precisely, we cannot check the rate our self yet as the site has not launched.
and how did your $25 compare to other providers extra per night?
Why would you pay extra and sound excited about it? :S
Poor choice of words. He paid $25 in total for the room.
I have booked via HT in Las Vegas and paid just 25$ extra for the room per night!!
What a crap deal - even the OP admits the prices are more expensive here.
You are right..But going by previous experience, you get some of the best rates through HT!! And again, no harm in signing up!!
You sound like you are pushing this deal just because you get referral credit, are the hotels actually cheaper?
But you said you have to pay extra $25 with HT. I am not going to sign up so I will be swarmed by its junkmail if HT cannot provide at least 10% lower price than everyone else.
Look, it is a choice mate!! I am getting referral credit I accept. But I also honestly have benefited from great rates across USA and Europe, especially when all other sites had far more expensive rates!!
especially when all other sites had far more expensive rates!!
But!! you!! paid!! $25 more!! per!! night!! than!! other!! sites!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What calculation is this? I said I paid only $25 after all the promo codes and credit was used up per night in a room that would normally cost upwards of $100. So what exactly do you infer by this?
You said "I have booked via HT in Las Vegas and paid just 25$ extra for the room per night!!"
What you said now and what you said before is total different.
@edfoo: I do not think so. It is perhaps a matter of perspective that you imagine it so!!
The key word is extra, did you pay $25 extra/more than other rates or not? simple

Were did you get those numbers from. From their FAQ:
I got an invite to HT. Are there rules for how I can use my referral code?
Yup. The $25 referral discount code you got from your friend can only be applied towards your first booking. For the discount to apply, that booking must be a total of $75 or more, excluding taxes & fees.
The email I was sent said that when someone signs up using your referral code, you get an additional $25.
I used the app in the US about 3 years ago and the deals were pretty good then. Only problem was you had to bank on the app getting a good deal in the days before you needed the hotel.
Another referral SPAM !!!!
Please talk for yourself…This is certainly no SPAM!!
Please clarify for me. Do you mean if 10 people here signed up with your Stefan code, then each of us 10 people will receive $50 credit and $20 drinks, while you will receive $500 credit and $200 drinks?
No.. I only get $20 drinks and $50 credit to my account.
Oh ok, then I am sure you will have no trouble getting at least one person signing up on behalf of your referral.
Daisy can't get his story straight!
$25/$50, extra/not extra, drinks, etc?
100% agree, except you only used one exclamation mark :(
I would ask you to keep your sarcastic comments to yourself.. Please do not sign up if you do not want to!! There are others who may benefit and I believe they should be allowed to!!
If we didn't reply with comments then others coming to this deal might think it is good (when it is actually rubbish). We are here to benefit future readers of this post.
That is the whole point of OzBargain, someone posts what they think is a deal and the community 1) vote; and 2) provide comments/feedback to identify to others whether or not the deal is worthy. If you don't like the system then leave.
so how much is a hotel room going to cost?
$30 off is not a deal if it costs more than other sites.
