Cadbury's today sneakily reduced 12-piece "Share Pack's" from 218g down to 180g (no drop in cost though)

As the title states, today Cadbury's have rolled out their new look "share pack's" in Woolies and Coles with bulkier packaging/wrapping, an RRP increase to $5.10, and to top it off the volume has dropped from 218g down to 180g (some actually as low as 144g - which is only a fraction bigger than one single normal sized bar of the same choc).

It's all my sister has been crapping on about all day long. My only advice was to consider buying real chocolate instead & buy up in bulk when Lind't do their occasional 50% off sales.

I assume this is news that will annoy some of you guys here, too.

Edit The Cadbury's cooking chocolate items (the bags of bits/chips/block) have all beeen reduced by 30g as well, placed in new packaging & the RRP has been increased on them, too.

This isn't news, if you've been to the shops over the last few weeks you'd see they've been clearing out the old packaging for cheap ($2 multipacks, i spotted $1.99 blocks).

Even in the deals posts its been explained why they've been marked to clear.

  • Yes, our local Coles cleared all their existing stock of the share packs at less than half-price, and put the new packs out at least 3 weeks ago.
