Nothing special for me here, Tamron 16-300mm lens Canon mount can get for $660 (DWI price $655) less $100 cash-back from Tamron Au. (Maxwell) purchase must be before 24/05/2015
2 yr local warranty (vs 1yr)
plus will get the GST back via TRS, not sure if all of these apply to DWI

on top of all that the $45 discount is useless for me as I cannot purchase before 19/05 - 60 day TRS limit

    • Where can you get the Tamron 16-300mm lens for $660 less $100 cash back?

      • Elizabeth Street Melbourne

        http://tamron.com.au/1lens4/cashbacksubmissionform.html

BTW Teds internet price is $695, be an Oz-bargainer just walk up and down the street and twist their arms, they will scream blue murder

        • Which store?

        • @grababargain:

sorry need to wait till after I pick mine up

        • Teds website price is $799. They raised it by $100 not long after this post.
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/193618

        • @grababargain:

Didn't see that in OZB, I half suspected prices to go up so went into the city 02/05 and did a lay-by to fix the price, that was lucky, been looking at that lens for about 4 months. sold my Sigma 18-270 in the mean time for a good price.

        • Hi there, just being to Southland and had a wander through Teds,
they still have the 16-300mm lens for $699.95 marked in the display cabinet, less $100 cash-back
if still interest cash-back finishes this Sunday

Xperia Z3 for around 530 seems to be the lowest the Z3 has been……

    • Still deciding whether to get another one (mine died in the pool)
I wanna try something else but the accessories I already have :/

    • is Z3 still worth to buy? i mean z4 is coming out soon right? and i just saw Galaxy s6 is $784 now, seems like a good deal…

      • Z4 appears to a Japan-exclusive phone made for the Japanese market. However, a new flagship from Sony is expected by the end of the year, so I would wait up for that.

    • I wouldn't get it from them if I were you. They are really dodgy around the warranty thing:
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/194182

  • I'm after z3 compact, a shame about $500 limit. I can't seem to find any accessories either like a case etc. Weird. Any suggestions?

The only "accessory" I can find is a memory card, but don't really need that to be honest.

Edit: even then, they are relatively expensive. Tempered glass protector is another thing, but $14 when I can buy one for $1 with shipping on eBay. Need to fill $31 with something, but unless it's something useful I'm kind of just negating the discount.

    • http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/astore/Sony-Xperia-Z3Z3-… So you dont have to pull out the flaps to charge your phone?

    • What about a powerbank?
They seem to be a decent prices as an add-on when buying a mobile or tablet.

          Hi DWI.

It would make sense for the minimum to be $450 since it's 45k fans and $45 discount. Can you change this please? Thanks.

        • @fruxo:

Or like DSE difference code for difference amount..

        • @fruxo:
Unfortunately, we can not do this for now.
As the promotion was launched and there are other customers has used the offer already.
It could be unfair to other customers that had previously placed orders.
However, we would take that in count and make our next promotion better.
          Thank you.
          Regards,
          DWI Australia

        • No one has gotten back to me on this at all. Please note that I will be sending this to The Checkout as well. (http://www.abc.net.au/tv/thecheckout/).

        • @IanKhoo: I am going to take this to mean that DWI warranty is basically useless. Didn't Warranty Item.

        • @rolypoly:
We are already looking into the case of ianKhoo with management team.
And we understand customer might have concern about warranty.
DWI is a well-established brand since 2003 and trust worthy seller on internet.
          Thank you for your understanding.
          Regards,
          DWI

Keep us up to date IanKhoo. I also purchased a waterproof phone from them. I expect grey import warranties to be worse than manufacturers warranty but it would be good to know what actually happens with your claim. I took the gamble with DWI since I have never made a warranty claim in my life.

        • Will do - I noticed that they changed the advertising on their website for the Sony Xperia Z3 from previously mentioning that it can be taken swimming - to not talking about the water resistant capabilities of the phone at all. This way, they can't be pinged for false advertising and won't be liable to fix your phone if there is water damage.

I have a screenshot of what it was before so I can prove what it said when I bought it from them.

DWI, they didn't look good on Check Out SBS

  • Any reason not to go for this? iPhone 6 64Gb, $1009 - $45? http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/astore/Apple-iPhone-6-64…

Any warranty issues with iPhone 6's from DWI?

  • OK, I need a new phone. Is it the iPhone 6 at $1009 - $45 or the Z3 non-compact at $569 - $45? http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/astore/Sony-Xperia-Z3-D6…

I don't have an ecosystem preference. Although I've always been Android, I've used an iPad before and was happy enough with it. Friends are raving about their iPhone 6's, and while I like the Z3's camera, and have a small investment in Android apps, I'm worried that the Sony Z series is more fragile than an iPhone. Thoughts? Is the iPhone 6's sturdiness and app availability "worth" the extra $400?

    • +1

depending if you want to keep the phone for more than 2 years. iPhone kept me well for at least 2 years and above, while I see Android users been changing all the time.

      • I'm a phone keeper, and one of the things annoying about Android is that unless you go Cyanogen after-market ROM or Nexus device, you find that manufacturers don't like updating old phones. The phone that just died was on — wait for it — froyo. iPhone it is, although I may go for the iiNet deal instead based on someone's comments about dodgy warranties.

  • is Sony camera a6000 good?

    • Sony A6000 camera is the latest mirrorless cameras in the market.
It is compact and best in performance in the mirrorless market.
It has Great resolution, fast shutter speed and very good in low light environment.

    • +1

I own this camera, together with many others, the A6000 is OK, however the kit lens come with it is pretty crappy.

  • Hmmm, Canon 760D body for $774…
Might hold off for EOFYS deals though.

  • Guys check www.discountcameras.com.au first before purchasing camera gear. they're local stock and have very good prices

I just picked up a very hard to get due to shortage, sigma 17-50mm f2.8 canon mount for $343.04 delivered!

  • @DWI-Admin will I be able to claim this - http://tamron.com.au/1lens4/cashbacksubmissionform.html ?

I'm concerned that it might fall under the grey import serial numbers….

    • Products from DWI will be grey imports

      • yeah I know but I'm hoping I can still claim, since I've already bought it :/

    • Think your concerns are well founded, good luck with that one

  • Awesome deal, thanks :D

Hmm expired even that it is only 11:19PM AEST? they didn't take DST into account then :(

  • @DWI-Admin can you enable it please? It is 11:19PM AEST here and the coupon has expired? I have a lens I would like to purchase. Please :(

I finally gave up and was going to buy the d5500 kit 18-140 for 920 after discount but like you at 11.20 discount was expired already. I took screenshots and I'm gonna talk to costumer service later today if they can provide same price fine otherwise I will give my money to someone else

    • DWI responded to the early expiry in their Facebook page on Sat morning:

"We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. The promotion is indeed supposed to end at 2359 AEST. Kindly send us an e-mail at [email protected] with the approximate time you have tried placing the order, so we can check our logs and to investigate on the issue as well.
