  • Is there an option that covers users for a month; with say 2GB of data?

    • Unfortunately not at the moment mate. Most people buy combinations to fit into their duration.

      Thanks.

Actually there is a sim with 3GB for 30days, COMST T-Sim. Buy it from Yodobashi or BIC camera, very easy to get in big cities, Y4000 I think.

Just because OP doesn't sell it doesn't mean it's not available.

      • I think I bought 2 GB with one month expiry in Sydney before I left for $50 last time.

      • I assure you just because we don't sell it isn't why I didn't mention it. I'd always help customers out thank you very much presumptuous sir.

Thanks for letting us know this exists, we shall work hard to get this or an equivalent and make it a lot more accessible to the everyday Australian who is going their for the first time and is looking for a more convenient way of getting their hands on something like this!

        • And a couple of others you can get from the large electrial retailers.

The So-Net LTE 2GB for 30 days is around Y3000

and the Japan travel Sim https://t.iijmio.jp/ is around Y4000, includes 2GB with a 3 month expiry.

I've used the Japan travel sim a few times and can't believe the coverage, even journeying a far north as Abashiri in Hokkaido about the only place I didn't get a signal was in tunnels under mountains.

      • Thank you the information.

    • 2 GB sims (2) for Japan (current till August 9th)

  • Any deal for US?

    • Working on some new products - very close so we can expect one in the next few days!

  • Hi OP, can data only sims call emergency numbers in japan?

    • Hi wizedz, that's a very good question. Not really sure what Japan's policy on emergency calls is so I'm not sure. Will do my best to find out though!

    • +2

You should be able to make an emergency call if you can connect to a network regardless of the SIM. For example if your network provider is out of reach but another provider is available your phone should say 'Emergency Calls Only' or similar and let you call. You should also be able to dial 000 / 112 from a locked mobile.

  • Hey Rep can this arrive by tuesday I choose express post?

    • Hi dodoii, certainly will with express post : )

  • Hi rep, my upcoming trip to japan is exactly 28 days so I was planning to buy 2 of your docomo sims but realised they are only good for activations before july 31st which is 2 days after the halfway point of my trip. Do you have any that have longer expiry? Would be great if you do but I'm assuming not at this price and that's why they're on sale?
    Thanks

Hi mate, as long as the second is activated before the 31st you should be ok but these cards are regularly released with short activation dates, so if you bought one for the first half of your trip, in a month or so you could be another when the activation dates are extended with a new batch of cards!

  • Since this is "developed in a joint venture between telcos across China & Japan through the Softbank network" will this work in China as well? Or do you have any SIMs that will roam between China and Japan?

    • No its partially funded and developed by a Chinese company but solely works off Softbank in Japan only!

  • Will the Docomo 14 days Japan card work with iPhone 5S.

    • Yep! :) Be sure to just order the right sim size (nano in your case).

We're currently using the Softbank SIMs in our phones and pocket wifi. Have been great. Glad I didn't pay any extra though as I've not even hit 400meg usage after 5 days.

    • Glad to hear you're enjoying :)

      • VOIP seemed an issue since though. Perhaps not allowed.
