  • Philips LED 14W 6500K Cool Daylight Edison Screw A67 Globe from bunnings for $19. 1400 lm. But no IP rating.

  • +1

what would be the point ozbargain if it became full of (imo) overpriced items 'discounted' to street price?

  • I was actually disappointed with my previous purchase form Brightgreen…I purchased 9 PR450 bulbs and one of them was faulty as it was damaged, and the bulbs caused interference with the TV in the house…

    • Hi, If you are getting radio interference it isn’t from the DR450 as they exceed the Australian Standard for RFI. It will be because you might have poorly insulated aerial cables and/or the aerial cables are running perpendicular or parallel to the downlight lights creating an electrical field.

  • 50 lm/W is poor efficiency for a LED these days - less than many compact fluoros and half that of the Philips 14W LED that fatice referred to above. If a PAR38 is required, compare the Brightgreen to this Viribright 18W 1500 lm (=83 lm/W if claimed specs are true), available for $22 + delivery.
    $89 original price is ridiculous.

    • Is the Viribright waterproof?

      • Yes they appear to have some with IP55 rating; see here. The IP20 ones are not waterproof. My link to Ledwave above states IP55 except for the warm white model that they've chosen to stock.

        • I find it odd that they don't show the cost on the website.

    • Hi Andrew, I just had a closer look at the Viribright ones and found some big differences to our PR900:

The PR900 comes with indirect light (extremely low glare), a high IP rating of 56, 3 year warranty and with 45,000 hours a double as long lifespan… and it looks good.

We have taken the technology out of the high spec LED shop lighting and packaged it up into a water tight container.

  • OP any chance price is available for 3000K colour as well? And what is Brightgreen's return policy if bulbs found to be unsuitable?

    • Hi, yes we have some in 3000K available. Please send me an email to [email protected]. As these are sale products we certainly replace them if they fail within within 3 years but returns due to change of mind will not be accepted.

  • $89 to $29. Gees, what's the mark up on Brightgreen lights?

    • about $60

    • Sounds like dicksmith cables, 10 times markup

    • The PR900 was one of the first decent PAR38 LED replacements on the market, hence the RRP and we are selling it out under cost because we are moving away from this product.
