Price says $41.95 on their website for me - I think you have to select your store first to see the price. I am in WA.

      Same for sydney

  • +6

And also just shy of 30,000kJ.

    Here is the price
    $41.95

  • Rookie mistake. There eating you alive lol

    • +9

      'They are' or 'They're' :( :( :( :(

How much is the QUEEN'S Birthday Feast normally ???

  • +2

    28364.5kJ !!!

    • +3

You're supposed to share the meal I believe.

      • +2

        Oh…

        why ???

        • +11

IN order to delay your inevitable appointment with St Peter at the Pearly Gates of Heaven….

  • +3

So our negs have been removed because this is now automatically considered a deal?

    • -4

Probably saved by the fact you could search for the price by the link provided

  • +9

Better off with 2 cheap as chips meals Imo
    16 pieces chicken
    12 nuggets
    4 large chips
    4 large potato and gravy
    4 dipping sauces
    $39.90
This is a long running voucher deal in Vic & maybe other states
But in my experience no voucher required

    • +2

That looks good. Or get four of the $9.95 meals —> 36 pieces of chicken for $40
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/196533

Or three of the $9.95 meals and two of the 2 sides for $5 —> 27 pieces of chicken + 4 sides for $40

You might need more than one person to order but the meals for a few people anyway. Just tell everyone to get out of the car. :)

  • I am KFC fan but no way it is a deal to be honest, no need to neg too because people just share deals

    • +2

This is a bargain website, not an advertising website, otherwise I think I'm owed money from all the spam I've been exposed to…

      • +2

people posting deals here does not mean YOU HAVE TO BUY all of them, does it? cheap or not cheap is quite varied depends on how rich you are or how much you can afford for an item, for example an iPhone 6 from eBay deal this afternoon for under 700 bucks could be a good deal for some people but some would prefer to pay 200 extra for local warranty of up to 24 months etc, it's a market, people can choose and decide, no need to neg this neg that, otherwise we could have had a table of price on this front page to TELL US ALL WHAT IS CHEAP ENOUGH TO BE POSTED?

        • +1

while there are deals that no doubt have grey areas in what constitutes a bargain, a $41.95 meal from KFC isn't likely to be ever one of them…

        • @Tal_Shiar: which I agreed/agree, but instead of neg, we should have just politely ask the OP to consider removing the deal or leave it because if it does not meet enough votes, it would be removed automatically (guess so)

        • @webtherapist: then what is the point of having a voting system if people can't vote negs for something that isn't a deal?

        • +2

@Orpheus: people can vote + or - but not neg like someone would have been stupid to post a deal, if you dont agree with it just put - and say sth in a more polite ways instead of making fun/joke/etc out of someone's good gesture to post a deal. same principle, we would not be nasty or showing bad manners in front of others when we face-to-face and not agree with their suggestion (deal) in real life, lot of people think forum or webpage is a place that they can freely humiliate others which make us all cheap in value ethically, the voting system is pretty much appropriate to vote those people too instead of the OP for posting sth not 'cheap' according to some people

    • None of the meals with nuggets/strips or other bite sized bits of the chicken are deals IMO. Its one of the reasons we stopped going (Qld anyway) nuggets in most meal deals. Then they pulled pineapple from burgers, that was it.

  • +4

how is it inappropriate use of a negative vote to downvote a 'deal' that has no idea of a price in the first place ?

it CANNOT be a bargain if there's no idea what the price might be.

that's completely normal use of a negative vote.

    • -3

If you search for it, you could find the price, still notice of a deal though

      • +4

If you search you can find proof of aliens landing on earth

        • -1

read the site wiki and the voting guidelines sunshine

    • +3

and ironically when the price is revealed, it's still not a bargain.

  • +7

Spend $40 at KFC and they only give you one drink? I'd be astounded if somebody actually bought this. Go to the supermarket and make a good home cooked meal for that price geez.

    • 16 pcs KFC + sides vs. 4x whole BBQ chooks.

  • I think the streetwise dinner meal is the only way to fly if it ain't Tuesday.

  • 1 coleslaw to share around with the whole family? lol.

  • +1

    Wait till Tuesday. Get 4 x 9 for 9.95
    Lol

  • Im not convinced it's that great

  • +1

yeah even after the price is revealed its still NOT a bargain and we still cant downvote the crappy deal

wouldnt be surprised if ozbargain was getting some kick back from KFC… what a crock

  • +3

This is just a Giant Feast at regular pricing ($41.95 at most places)- unfortunately not a deal!

  • Blame the queen, not the messenger

    • This was definitely a case of being the bearer of bad tidings of the worst kind imaginable.
Thankfully 'Off With His Head!' doesn't exist anymore.
