The Corsair Flash Voyager 32GB USB Pen Drive $89

40

Just saw this USB pen drive on sale, the cheapest price on static ice is $119, think is a good bargain if you need a large storage place for Pen drive and it's durability

The following describtion is from the website:
The Corsair Flash Voyager family of USB drives is rugged, stylish, compact, and
reliable, making them ideal for transporting MP3s, digital images, presentations
and more. Flash Voyager drives are fully Plug and Play with most operating systems
and are backward compatible with USB 1.1.
The Corsair Flash Voyager family is comprised of two outstanding products. The
Flash Voyager GT is designed from the ground up for speed, optimizing transfer
rates of both reads and writes, while Flash Voyager provides a durable USB drive in
large capacities.
The Flash Voyager and Flash Voyager GT are enclosed in the Corsair proprietary
all-rubber housing. Boasting water-resistant properties, these drives allow users to
carry more valuable data and applications without compromise. Several reviews of
the Flash Voyager products have demonstrated the ruggedness, durability, and
reliability of the Flash Voyager family. The Flash Voyager has been shown
laundered, baked, frozen, boiled, dropped, and even run over by a SUV in many
third party reviews. After all the punishment it receives, the drive continues to
work.

Couple of other stores now have it cheaper.

Wouldn't buy it anyway. I hate products that solve one problem (inadequate durability) by creating another one (interference with adjacent device/chassis/table).

    • The stick comes with a small USB cable to over come this issue.

I have the 16gb model I paid $130 about year ago, works great, fast and reliable 32GB model will be slower but still awesome price! +1 for Corsair.

      • Ha. So to solve one problem they produce another, then to fix the second annoyance they create a third!

    • Jabba - can you send a link to the other stores?

I bought what turned out to be a fake one of these from Shopping Square a few months ago.

If this is legit and not a refurb it looks like a great price.

      • ARC has it for $79 and PCDIY for $85. They're both on staticice so I'm not sure why the deal poster missed them (unless I'm the one who's missing something).

  • I have the 4 gb version of this stick. It has pretty fast transfer speeds but the only thing that annoys me is the cap…bit too easy to lose.

I'm tempted to get the sandisk cruzer instead, just for the better design.

      READ THIS
IF you lose lose the cap, you can get a replacement for FREE (inc shipping) which comes with a ball chain link which attaches the USB STICK!

      Link http://www.corsair.com/helpdesk/cap_replacement_form.aspx

      • Thanks for the link just ordered one!

        • oh nice… i knew that you could order replacement caps but didn't know they were attachable ones

      • Looks cool by this way

  • The only annoying part of these keys I have found is that because they are so fat, they tend to not plug in to a USB port if something is plugged in next to them in a laptop for instance, means you have to swap things in and out all the time which is very frustrating. Other then that, rock solid

  • anyone used one of these before?

any ideas about data transfer rates etc and what people think of them compared to other products out there?

  • I havent used the 32 gig one but I have the 16gig model, its quick. Not sure on speeds but I have no complaints wanting it to be faster. Its no slower then any other drive I have used.
