Saw this deal just before I went to bed on Friday night so went to Big W Rouse Hill at about 11am on Saturday. Lines were huge everywhere. Went straight to AV section. No sale signs on the vouchers. Paniced a little as had seen the early post just before I left that mistakenly said it might not be available all stores (had to get my parents to drive me to Rouse Hill specifically so I could go to Big W).
Figured the saving was worth it so stood in longish line at AV counter to ask. Girl said yep half-price so I grabbed 5. Took aaages for the confirmation receipt to spit out for each one so she started serving from the other register while we waited. First 4 were fine, 5th one didn't work so she sent me to the front counter to sort it out (after ringing through).
Went to front counter and had to wait at least 15 mins, they weren't very well organised and when they did have more than one person there they were all standing around serving the one person (3 people just standing there clueless for 5 mins for one customer while there's a huge line at the front and back of the counter!).
Got into Big W at 11, sale receipt went through at 11:15, return/resale receipt didn't go through until about 11:50! It was worth it though for the savings but I didn't end up buying anything else because by the time I waited around for so long I didn't want to wait in a queue again to buy anything else.
Exact same thing happened to me.
Best strategy for this would be to go armed with a bunch of $10 notes and ask for them to be put through in small lots ie. less than 3 at a time.
Mine did activate in the end, it took probably 8 hours for them to work.
My cards did activate eventually after getting the 'this card has already been redeemed message. So stick with it if you are having problems.
Bought 10 x $20 vouchers for $95 @ Officeworks this afternoon. Very good deal!
Got 10 today :)
Had to wait in line for awhile, but they printed out almost instantaneously. Register person didn't know about the 5 limit, so I was able to get all 10 quickly in the one transaction. Great Christmas present.Thanks for this post, I stocked up on 15 of these !!!
Just for my info - is this the best deal EVER on itunes cards/codes?

As amelyns account, I picked up some today, but they had to process them three at a time. Lots of unhappy people in the Big W lines when a few couples are buying ten. (So 4 * transactions for one couple!)
