Things are definately broken on that site right now… I can sign up but cannot activate the account. Now trying to make another account and I am displayed with:

Both codes worked - thanks. The only problem now is that the website is down for maintenance (I only got to purchase one song!). Do you think they will still honour it it the website is not back and up and running by the expiry date?
EDIT: It is now back up and running - sorry guys!
InLikeFlynn on 13/12/2009 - 17:34 ¶ATTN MODS - if we now have four working codes - could we change the title to $40 worth of free vouchers? 213/214/215/216 - bandit.
Don't want to overstep the line but changing the title might clue some people in to the value of this deal before if finishes 11:59pm AEDST TOMORROW NIGHT (14th December). I'll leave that call to a Mod to check out.
InLikeFlynn on 13/12/2009 - 17:49 ¶It is having some problems - maybe all the people trying to get on to take advantage of this deal. Must keep trying - too good to resist - family must be temporarily ignored….
InLikeFlynn on 13/12/2009 - 18:29 ¶No worries - for the record, JeffreyM did a stack of work on this post too, credit due there too.
InLikeFlynn on 13/12/2009 - 19:01 ¶Note you may need to enter the voucher details 2 times on each occasion. Seems if you log in through the herald sun the web site only likes to recognise the herald sun - enter it again at bandit.fm and it should accept the code. Keep persisting and you will get there. I signed up from scratch and now have $50 in my account. Will be shopping for some music tonight.

"The purchase of a Product from the bandit.fm Site entitles you to only one full successful download of the Product. Sony Music implements a download receipt system under which Sony Music receives a digital notification once you have fully downloaded a purchased Product. Once Sony Music has received that notification you will not be able to download the Product again unless you make a separate purchase of that Product. Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product. Sony Music shall not be liable to you in the event of any loss, destruction or damage to Products which is not due to the negligence of Sony Music"Glad I'm not paying real money!
silly-simo on 14/12/2009 - 00:09 ¶If i tell u my order can you email it to me once you've downloaded it?
+1 voteWas getting about 50 kb/s speed, downloading before midnight. Though since it was 2 albums, I guess that's 100 kb/s, roughly
Getting 300 - 400 kb/s speed now, downloading 1 album.
(Note: Telstra cable user; Victoria)
I was also able to preview a video, so bandwidth might be okay again
Also yes, confirming that I've been able to use my credits to get albums and that the credits from this promo have been used up first. (I still have a credit from earlier that hasn't been touched yet)
InLikeFlynn on 14/12/2009 - 12:27 ¶I'm not sure about this (maybe someone else can advise). I think it would be hard to remove credits from your account one you have redeemed your vouchers IMHO.

Without seeing what you are doing …
if you clicked on the Brisbane link, next to the Voucher Code, there are 2 fields, separated by a hyphen "-".
In the first field you would put 217
In the second field you would put banditThen you have to read the verification code and enter that in the field next to "Enter your verification code".
If any people from bandit.fm are reading this, can you please make the borders around all fields on the website darker and thicker.
The borders are showing up as faint, hair thin lines, if I look closely enough.
Marlboro Man on 14/12/2009 - 17:54 ¶If the people from bandit.fm are reading this can you make it possible for us to see who the artists are in a compilation album by 'Various Artists'!

This is a great bargain but I can't even register on the site now.
EDIT: Still maintaining it's a great bargain for those who can get it but I can't even register, still after 3 hours. Pretty annoyed and have tried 3 different notebooks (Win7/IE, Ubuntu/Firefox and Leopard/Safari) and still no luck.
Have they closed it early??

I cant even sign up… have tried and gotten two activation emails.. when I follow the link I get a blank page but chrome says its done loading.. so I goto bandit.fm and try login and my account dosent exist!?
Would love $50 of free music but not for this much effort… I can see why the pirates always win
+2 votesI have around $15 worth of credit yet & haven't been able to log-on since around 12pm today - if the credit is gone by tomorrow, I don't mind (as I downloaded all the songs I really wanted), although it would have been good to have some extra tunes. Oh well, guess like it's over to The Age's iTunes Promotion & their offerings…
+2 votesmad__llama on 14/12/2009 - 20:38 ¶Wow, what a surprise: servers are flooded and almost no-one can log in to use their free-for-Australia-but-only-valid-for-1-day vouchers. And I'm guessing that Sony had no idea something like this would happen :) Can anyone say "Catch Of The Day"?

The site alternates between slow and quick to fetch bits of pages.
I purchased a few more CDs. (After purchasing it asks if you want to download; I didn't bother as you can later go to your account, purchase history, and download the "Ready" albums)
It's taking forever to try and download one of the albums … guessing speed will pick up tomorrow …
+1 votedangermouse on 14/12/2009 - 23:30 ¶This is so frustrating, been trying since yesterday and now in queensland its expired , all I got was error messages or it times-out as I was trying to log in (it took so long to move from each page), and no response to my enqires, alas no free download for me, but congrats to those who got them
justhooked on 15/12/2009 - 01:50 ¶got all my free downloads working fine now at 12am perth time most must have given up being 3am over east -
InLikeFlynn on 15/12/2009 - 08:35 ¶I've just checked my account and I still have voucher $ in there. Looks like my voucher $ that I didn't spend haven't been wiped.
quarrymaster on 15/12/2009 - 13:33 ¶Well, between the rush and server issues, I ended "purchasing" the same album twice. Hopefully they will rectify it for me. A pity their system is not smart enough to avoid duplicate purchases like iTunes, unless it depends on the way purchases are made - ie free vouchers vs "real" money.
Future Kids on 16/12/2009 - 10:33 ¶Save your effort if those are the credits from News Limited vouchers because they were expired anyway.

I Sent an enquiry as I was also charged the same album twice and I didn't really expect them to reverse it seeing as I had redeemed $50 in newspaper vouchers but low and behold I got an email today apologising and offering me a $20 credit to make up for it (album was only worth $17) yippee

Only seems to work through the Herald-Sun website. Thanks! I'm up to $50 free credit with Bandit this month - crazy!
