Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge G925F 4G 64GB $690 Delivered @ No Worries

492

Hi folks,
Just came across this unbelievable price for this superb mobile phone. RRP for local equivalent model is $1299 in Australia.
The only concern for some I can see is the lack of 4G Band 2300(TDD). I think Optus uses that particular band for 4G services in some areas. Apart from that it appears to have all other relevant bands (2G, 3G and 4G FDD).

Two colour options available are:

Black
Gold

Hope it helps someone looking for a qality flagship device. Cheers !

Note: This is not a Australian stock so no TRS applicable.

I think you will have worries if you buy from them - http://www.productreview.com.au/p/no-worries.html

    • +4

Will not buy from them with those reviews, $690 is still a lot of monies.

    • +1

Hmmm..72 (Excellent+Good) reviews and 36 (Bad+Terrible)reviews. Overall score of 3.6, so I'm not quite sure calling it bad/good. However, I haven't ever bought from them so can't really comment. Maybe fellow ozbargainers can share.

      • +7

1/3 of people have bad experience, why do you wants to take that risk?

        • +10

But maybe 5/100 people leave reviews…

        • +1

          @stephendt:
One of the use of this OzBargain community is to warn fellow buyers to be careful of dodgy sellers, of course if someone choose to buy, nobody can stop them because end of day, it is their money can they can do whatever with them, but they have been warned.

        • +5

@stephendt: agree. someone with bad experience will tell 100 friends and forums, but one with good experience probably forget to write review and tell friends.

        • +3

@stephendt: 3.6/5 is the highest score I've seen in ages, on that site.
Higher than Coles, woolies, aldi, dan murphys, target, big w… every other store you use without thinking twice.

        • @Utopian: Hell, it's even higher than ozbargain

        • @highdealer: LOL!
"A Great Way to Destroy Your Business!"
          Oh, the irony!!

        • @stargalaxy: Any online store will have a bad experience at one point. Sating that I've just found a receipt for something I bought from No Worries - have had no problems with them.

      • -5

People need to learn to read stats properly. Look at recent reviews and not old. Since 3rd December there review scores are 1,1,4,1,1,1,1,4,1,1,4,5,1,1,1,4,1,4,1,1,5,1,2,1,1,1,1,1. Most of the 1 star must be a zero as they had no option to vote zero.

When you have a 5 star and 1 star it must be looked as 2.5 ((5+0)/2) star and not 3 ((5+1)/2). So making 1 star as zero we get 1.14(32/28)Since December 3rd last year. That's really really bad.

Out of the 28 I looked at, 21 have voted 1 which is zero. That alarming. 75% of unhappy customers. Also don't forget the face that "noworries" would have left some 5 star reviews to bump their score up.

        • +8

I'm not defending for noworries, nor am I buying anything from them or a rep of theirs. But don't most people who are unhappy about a purchase more likely to rant on the internet? Most happy customers don't bother reviewing.

        • +3

Such low star, much negative, very bad. Wow!

According to your logic. You also shouldn't use ozbargain either then. The review of this website is so bad… look like the face of ozbargain also tried to sneak in a few 5 star to bump up their score as well.
          http://www.productreview.com.au/p/ozbargain.html

        • @clse945111: that's true in a way

        • @highdealer: Your argument isn't logical because no one is at risk of losing money on OzBargain (OMG did I really just say that? … but ya gets wut i means)

        • It also worrying that the accounts with a positive review have only ever made one review in their life.

        • @Diji1: Yeah, no one is at risk of losing money and the review is already that negatively bias. Imagine when there are just a little bit of money involve and what those entitlement idiot would do if they didnt get A class service from paying C class pricing.

    • +1

Bought a S3 3yrs ago and had noworries (pun intended).

    • When using customer review for buying guide, you have to read the detail not the rating. Like say your link has many reviews saying that, asking for a COPY of ID with credit card purchase must be scam, which is not true. In old days without pin, it's very common practice for retailer.

BTW, I bought one from them long time ago, brand new never opened item, working till cracked. But as usual, don't expect much after sell service from online seller, not even with bigger brand, like JB Hifi I recently has problem with.

      • Agreed.

Every MSY equivalent back in the day would require it, every order I placed.
Made you feel comfortable that they took CC security seriously.

These days the major issue is identity theft.

What can ya do? Paypal incl. Extra fees?

    • There are some other regular complaints about service but the bulk of the complaints is that they ask for scans of your credit card and drivers license to verify your identity.

I'm guessing they got/get a buttload of fake/ID stolen orders and are taking precautions.

So I'd suggest not ordering unless you're willing to send them pics of your credit card & drivers license.

EDIT Aaaaaand leetec said this 10 hours ago. Carry on.

  • +7

Considering this is the first time I've seen the edge on sale, and at a price cheaper than the normal s6, its far too good to be true.

  • +1

Bought my Lumia 1020 in January 2014 from them, can't complain.

But with warranty and return would be headaches.

    Lucky user.

  • +2

No deal if their services are terrible

  • +1

No worries that is a joke this company is nothing but a worry

  • +1

Then why we see 6 positive votes already, puppeting?

    • Many vote from the homescreen, judging by title.

Every deal I see doesn't need my yap :)

  • Bought my XPERIA Z ULTRA, no complain.

  • I paid by PAYPAL,should be OK?

    • +1

if you stole someone else's credit card and used it through Paypal, yeah you'll be fine :)

    • Paypal will be fine, as they have true dispute service, the only problem I found is paypal don't refund for digital downloaded content.

  • if this is note 4 edge i will take risk

  • Similarly, if you look on their Facebook page there are quite a number of complaints.

  • +3

I particularly like the specification - Manufacturer: Generic

  • mediocre!

  • +2

it also doesnt have 4G 700mhz Band 28 that Optus and Telstra use.

    • -2

they do that to prevent us to get phones from overseas

      • +4

No they don't. They do it because it's the best match of frequencies for the country is intended for use in

        • +4

          Nah, it's a Con$piracy

        • @DrStinge: Obviously. Part of the NWO plan to make 1 world gummints! WAKE UP!!

      • nah, it just different models to be compatible to freq used in different countries.

  • +3

Sorry guys, does this support all vodafail bands? The price is too good to be true but if they accept PayPal, I am willing to bite the bullet and get one.

    • +1

Yup it does mate. All vodafail bands pass this one ;)

  • Damn tempted indeed. Will it be ok with Telstra?

    • +2

doesnt have optus and telstra 4G 700mhz band 28.
you need the G925I model not the G925F.

  • What would be the chances of Office Works price beating this?

  • +1

people on their fb kept saying order 1 phone and out of stock and offer another one, and dont want to refund…. seems risky

  • just an FYI to people who are a bit iffy with purchasing through them. These guys are owned by M2 Group who own several ISP's. I know this as i worked at M2 previously.
So they aint some small dodgy backyard online website.

I know alot of people have hates for the ISPs they own. So you can make the judgment of buying through them or not. :)

Just found a link where it mentions it.
    http://www.noworries.com.au/privacy

  • So from the OG post, are you saying that 4G will not work on Optus/Virgin for this phone?

    • would like to know that as well since you can't see this info on the site

    • +2

Actually I think 4G would still work in most of the covered areas even with Optus as the Band 1800 is the most widely used band for 4G (which it has). Band 2300 is currently being used in parts of Canberra. Have a look at this

    • +1

doesnt have optus and telstra 4G 700mhz band 28.
you need the G925I model not the G925F.

You cant just look at the Frequency, you also need to check the band (eg there are a few 700mhz freq used but optus and telstra use band 28, other countries are like band 12 and 17)

      heres a list of 4G bands https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_LTE_networks

    • For both Telstra and Optus, 4G will work on Band 3 (1800MHz) but not the newer 4GX/4G Plus Band 28 (700MHz).

    • So some people say it will work, others say it won't work?

  • +1

In the description first thing is 4G LTE? With Telstra and in country areas 4G is off and on anyway. This is so cheap might give it a crack through Paypal, warranty is useless with Samsung even if Australia stock, especially in country areas they are not like Apple where you can replacement sent in a few days.

    Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge G925F 4G 64GB (Black)
    • 4G LTE
    • 5.1 inch Super AMOLED
    • Certified security features
    • Octa Core Exynos processor
    • 3GB RAM
    • 16 MP rear camera
    • Ultra-Fast Charging mode

Then again after reading the productreview complaints don't know??

  • Very good price, glad to see it's coming down. I do agree with the above comments, usually when you have a good experience majority don't tend to comment.

  • +2

What are some really cool things you can do with the edges? Unlike the Note 4 Edge which can be used for shortcuts and notifications, these are really thin, so I don't know how practical they are.

Is part of the normal screen going into the edge, or are the edges brand new added resolution to the phone that you wouldn't have had with a standard S6?

To me it looks very gimmicky.

    • The Note 4 Edge .. er edge .. was that really practical or non-gimmicky to start with?

  • This is a bit off topic, but can anyone with mobile gaming experience tell me what this RPG looking game is?

    http://www.samsung.com/uk/common/next/pdp-wow-assets/unpacke…

It looks nice and if it controls well I might try it out.

    • No idea. Might be a made up screenshot.

  • +2

Keep dropping ! Nice, ill wait another month or two or get the second hand… No more than 300-350.. Yay ! Go samsung #sarcastic .. Lol…

  • +1

This is an internationally sourced model which is no great show stopper. Check with No Worries to see if they provide a GST receipt - if so, it could be useful if you are going overseas to save another 10%.

Australian Samsung warranty is 2 years and provides drop off or pickup warranty (in Brisbane there is a drop off centre in Fortitude Valley)and warranty transfer if you are selling the phone.

    • What is pick up warranty? They come to you and get the phone?

  • -2

Samsung must be going shit hole, latest sales figs are worse than last year,

and we are comparing this with the S5 -

I can say for certain, demand for S6 accessories are dismal

    • +1

      How do you know?

      • -2

        http://bgr.com/2015/04/29/samsung-earnings-q1-2015/

Samsung on Wednesday announced that profits during the company’s first quarter fell by a troubling 39%, dropping from approximately $7.8 billion in the same quarter a year ago to $4.35 billion during the company’s most recent quarter.

At the heart of Samsung’s drastic financial decline is a mobile division that is in desperate need of a boost. Year over year, profits from Samsung’s mobile unit fell by well over 50%, dropping from 6.43 trillion won to 2.74 trillion won, a decrease of nearly $3.4 billion

        • Is it so hard to understand that a drop in profit does not always equate to a drop in sales?

It's best not comment on something you dont understand.

        • @djc926: Yes, if you don't understand, best not to comment

You can defend Samsung all you like

        • @Aceboy884:

Im not defending samsung. I dont even use a samsung phone. Im just appalled by your reading and comprehension skills.

Your logic of why samsung is in the shithole didn't even make sense. Plus you don't even know the difference between sales and profit.

        • -2

@djc926: Debating with you hurts my head, just don't teach your kids finance when you have one.

        • @Aceboy884:

Of course it hurts your head because you are arguing about something you have no idea about. Don't you worry about me because i actually have a professional qualification to comment on it. Stop burying your head in the sand and listen to others. It's no coincidence not one person has said what you posted is accurate

    • +4

      What are you taking about?

The demand for these are far too high for Samsung to keep up, leading to losses of profit. This is why they're in the news.

They are doing much, much better than last year when they had the s5. They were still on top last year, by far.

If you want to see trouble, see HTC right now. They're in their worst state in a decade as their new One M9 sales is failing miserably.

      • The s810 is a dud and the camera is bad. The one m8 was a better phone. If HTC fix up their camera then I'll buy their next one.

    • Probably because their customer service is a disgrace. Just check out their FB page and you will see all the negative comments.

    • +1

Samsung must be going shit hole

Sure if by shit hole you mean the largest mobile device seller in the world and the second most profitable.

  • I've dealt with these guys and had no problems unlike some other people I've bought phones off of (phoneone cough cough)

  • -5

not same as aussie stock (genuine product) = makes quite the difference! IF you buy, you buy knowing its not the top notch.

    • +2

And thats cleary in title (Model No.) as well as description. So why the neg ? And how come not being aussie equates to not being genuine. G925F while may not be aussie stock but is still GENUINE samsung model

  • Ordered :)

    Australian Stock 2Yr warranty

    any thought?

    • +3

      Australian Stock 2Yr warranty

Or so they claim. It's hard to be sure. It's a bit murky and no one knows if Samsung Australia will actually honor it.

      • Samsung Australia have terrible after sales service.

If you buy any of their products, prey that nothing goes wrong with it.

        • Really? I just sent my Knox tripped s5 back for warranty repair, turnaround was 4 days they even sent a courier to pick it up, they replaced the main board its working as new! I have done a few warranty repairs over the years and each has been smooth

        • @happyantix: You are lucky. Perhaps your repair centre in NSW is better than down here in Victoria. Just take a look at all the complaints on their facebook page

          https://www.facebook.com/SamsungAustralia

Someone I know had a brand new S6 (about 5 weeks old) with a broken camera lens. Not sure how it broke, the phone was not dropped and had always had a cover on it. They fixed the camera lens, costing over $200. Once the phone got home, they found 3 issues with the phone that were not there prior to it being repaired.

    • Are you sure its the edge? I can't find any link to that. They only have S6 128GB for $899, not the S6 Edge.

    • Post the link. I can't find it anywhere on there at that price.

*edit. Sorry I misread it….I thought it said edge!

  • Anyone know if the AC Adapter is Australian that ships with it? or does it have the overseas model charger bundled with a travel adapter for AU?

  • Items are gone.
Was just trying to order one and the site seemed to go down, then it was gone :(

  • I bought a 3DS from these guys a year or 2 ago. Had No Worries with the order.

  • Good day! The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge G925F 4G 64GB that cost $674 comes with an international charger from Hong Kong with an Australian adapter that will fit in to AU power.

    • i hate the EU plugs with an adaptor

  • The page you requested was not found, and we have a fine guess why.

    Price Error?

    • -1

It's not price error. They are out of stock.

  • Just called their customer service @ 1300 541 596
The guy notified me that it was a price error and they are still investigating the cause that changed the price of this phone on their website. They will let all customers know in a day or two whether they are honoring orders at this price or not.
    So good luck everyone….

    • Should have seen it coming
      Yet ordered 3 for family
What a let down if they cancelled them

    • Good luck for the people that ordered,

In this day of age, I doubt they will honour it.

  • yep confirmed… Price Error… received $10 off next purchase and refund coming soon. Great! :/

  • +1

    Just received this email

We would like to apologize but the item you have purchase was a price error.
We will be refunding your order back to your preferred payment method and would like to give you a $10 off next purchase.

    Thanks for your question(s).
