5 Cents Flights from Jetstar (TONIGHT 7pm)
5 cent flights but only 5000 seats
“Jetstar is planning the cheapest ever airfare sale in Australian history in an attempt to draw public attention away from Tiger Airways upcoming launch of domestic services
The Qantas low-cost offshoot plans to sell 5000 five cent fares (including taxes) on its website from 7pm tomorrow night on a handful of its routes.”
Only members of Jetstar’s Jetmail e-mail registration program will be offered the ultra-low fares.
The fares will only be offered on eight Jetstar routes.
The tickets are also for travel in the low winter season, more than six months away and on selected flights on the low-peak Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday daytimes.
The five cent tickets also entail a $2 credit card fee for people booking over the internet.

Don’t get too excited. I know someone who works there and they just told me that the booking system is down and unlikely to be working by 7pm.
That’s not just internet bookings either … call centre staff use the same booking system that is routed through the website interface.
Anyone got any tickets? I went to the link from Bargain4U but it just asked me to tell it my schedule. Didn’t offer cheap flights or a discounted rate from Melbourne to Hobart.
Possibly I’m rushing too much and didn’t see what to click on … ?
Also, same issue as linus
Oh and the link is http://www.jetstar.com/skylights/cgi-bin/skylights.cgi?mode=...
But you’ll still get the “Method Not Allowed” error.
Enjoy your dinners people.
I got a different message .
Sorry!
Thanks for your search.
Our footy finals sale is proving incredibly popular right across Australia, and our website is experiencing very high levels of demand right now.
We’re working as hard as we can to help you find the fare you want.
In the meantime please try one of the following, as it may help you find what you’re looking for:
Aargh, every time it offers me, it then just takes me to the index page after I put in the dates
Now it’s getting the Method not allowed again, and errors when trying to process my order.
I shouldn’t have gotten into this … so aggravating when it errors … I thought I could walk away from this but no! :P
Given the way it was run and how it performed I’m now feeling very jaded about Jetstar :P
I got the link from whirlpool, and after numerous error messages and refreshing the page umpteen times I was in the process of choosing flights at 8:30pm when we got hit with a blackout due to thunderstorm. At that time I still hadn’t received my email from Jetstar. It seems to have been rather disorganized from that point of view.

Hey! I posted in the forums here 10 minutes earlier asking for a link to the actual promotion page. I am still waiting for that!
