  Not much more than this gets a brand new unlocked Samsung Galaxy Core Prime. You could buy this Optus locked from Big W or for an extra $17.95 get one that's unlocked and so able to be used on any mobile carrier. Take your pick.

  $169 for 1GB of ram? Samsung really is the Apple of the Android world. Over priced and uder spec'd for people who either don't know better or are more interested in the brand name.

    it gets worse, the samsung galaxy tab A is the biggest offender, theres a 8 inch with 1024x

    now behold, a 9.7inch version with guess what… same res! in 2015!

    I have purchased 30 of these and use for work
    more than suitable for efficient phone tasks
    -email
    -sms
    -phone calls
    -non game apps

      A $19 phone can perform those tasks easily now. This phone, like most Samsungs, is a complete rip-off.

  My mate bought this phone from JB a couple of weeks ago:

  • The screen looks a bit washed out, colours don't 'pop' like they usually do on Samsung displays - but it's OK
  • Quite zippy considering the specs, my mate has no complaints about lag
  • The camera is decent enough
  • Build quality is firmly in the 'plasticky' zone, though the (plastic) chrome surrounding the phone lifts this a bit
  • No creaks or groans when using it, it feels solid
  • Quite light
  • Battery life seems to be great (he came from a Huawei Y500 which was an abomination in every way)

  For a budget Samsung phone, it's not too bad for the price. If the screen was 720p and more saturated in colour, this would be a bargain.
