    I'm sorry, but this isn't a bargain if you need to go to the effort of doing a price match, as well as buying gift cards up to the value before you buy the wii (that's a separate bargain).
    You could just post the Big W deal if you think it's good value, and if people see the Myer deal and decide to go to the effort of price matching, plus buying the gift cards, then they can vote positive on the gift card deal.

      You can do it in 1 go from 21st-24th as the gift card end on 24th!
      If you want to save extra $30 you havce to do the work. You want the food put straight into your mouth?
      As the BigW deal is already bargain but why have to post 2 when can put them into 1?

    I had numerous price matching experiences in Myer against really major retailers, all deemed under cost and refused to match. I think it's a bit waste of time too if savings aren't significant.

        juicedpixels… I think you're in the wrong forum mate! Most of OzBargainers in here want to save as much as they can.
        I had no problem price match at Myer before as they have their price match policy. If they ring up other stores have item in stock then will sell you for that price.
        Noslee… next time if they refuse as them to read their price match policy!

      if you can get price match at Myer (which is very likely if a Big W is nearby) then $30 off is equivalent to 10% discount, so i think most OzBargainers would say this is significant enough.

    I think this a good deal. A bit of a pain, but a good deal. Certainly the cheapest way to get a Wii before Xmas.

    However, I wouldn't be buying the gift cards until I had the price match confirmed.

      Agreed with you not buying the gift cards before hand. But since gift cards promotion end on 24th so worth to give it ago in 1 shot on early 21st or maybe on 19th or 20th if they willing to price match before BigW sale start.
      I would certainly give Myer a go, no harm in asking to save you another 30ish or even ring them up.
      Don't know why people don't like this deal as it's only a phone call away.

        Maybe the hassle of dealing with Myer probably is putting people off. In some stores some days you're lucky to even find a shop assistant.
