    • cheers. updated

  • Thanks OP, I found a Lego set that I wanted to combine with the C&C deal and score the $50.

    http://www.cashrewards.com.au/ebay-australia

Looks to just be an increase from 2% to 3%, not a total of 5%

    • You can't link to Cashrewards directly through OZB for some reason. Maybe a mod could edit it?

      • Fixed.

        • thanks mate

        • +2

should be bonus 1% cash back - total 3%

        • @CandyMan: is it? That's not what I understood reading the link though

        • +1

          @steff:
"SPEND $100, GET A $50 EBAY VOUCHER Simply Collect at a Woolworths or BIG..

          Plus 3.00% Cashback"

          So total 3%

          I could be wrong

        • @CandyMan: Not too sure either tbh, because the link says "Bonus 3% cashback"

        • +1

          @steff:
          I know its confusing/misleading
But the fact 2% is the standard cashback.

    • +2

Still a misleading title. Should remove the word "Bonus".

bought a few things, cashrewards didn't managed to register it……

    • +2

usually comes in a week later these days

    • +1

Been happening to me as well. All my low cost items seem to register, but when it goes to those $100+ items they don't register =/

      • +1

been the same for me. if it doesn't get registered shoot them an email and they usually fix it. I've done this for some larger purchases without much trouble

        • Same, I had a lot not work so kind of gave up using cash rewards. Will send them an email if use it and it happens again, good idea.

        • They used to fix it after an email. But since the start of this year they usually just reply eBay was unable to track your specified items…

      • Happened to me alot until I used it with IE. Could be my adblock on chrome blocking it.

        • White list or disable Adblock on the eBay.com.au site as well as Cashrewards.

    Arrrgggeedd…I keep forgetting about cash rewards….not a true ozbargainer…LOL

Same aha bought a heap of stuff over the past year including a macbook and a few other high price items. Only used cash rewards once :(

  • +4

Shouldn't it be "bonus extra 1%"?

  • +1

I think the "bonus" simply means whatever amount you pay for the things you buy PLUS 3% cashback. Misleading I know…

  • By using a confusing term, OP successfully got our attention. Good strategy.

    • +1

Didn't mean to confuse (dont receive any benefit of posting). Just saying what's on the linked page.

    • To be fair, the website itself states "Bonus 3.00% Cashback"

  • I always forget this on eBay for some reason!!!
    thanks OP

It is a known fact that Cashrewards doesn't always successfully register the sales and you just keep hoping one day it will show up in your account.

It is simply a site re-direct mechanism and it is not robust at all. The more you click around the redirected site, the higher the chances it fails to register your order.

  • Is there a way to back date rewards?

  • So basically compared to the old deal, $1 more is saved per $100 spent. You are $10 richer than using Cash Rewards yesterday if you spent $1000 on eBay. Or, you only missed out $10 if you have spent $1000 on eBay using Cash Rewards.

    • or to simplify your post.

      you save 1%

      :)

      • Just trying to put it in perspective so can see the kind of dollar being saved.

there is no guarantee that you get your 3%, that's the reply I got today from them:

    Thank you for your enquiry.

Cashback may take up to 7 days to be reported in full to your account. Please see the store page outlining the time-frame for cashback to be confirmed. As this date of purchase is not yet 7 days past, please allow a few more days for any valid cashback to be reported in your account.

Please note thateBay has a 'No Enquiry Policy' (as listed under Special Terms on their store page), so if cashback still has not been awarded to your account 7 days after the date of purchase; something has gone wrong along the way, and your transaction hasn't tracked. If this occurs, we are unable to award cashback rewards for your purchase. Please see the store page for more information.

If we can be of any further assistance in the meantime, please reply to this email and thank you usingCashrewards when you shop online.

    Kind Regards,
    Kate

  • Treat Cashreward as a bonus not a discount. I only get 50% of the sales to show up in cashreward and then another half of those are subject to getting rejected.

  • Just got an automated "Tracking Receipt" from Cashrewards (for a $100+ eBay purchase from yesterday morning), shows as pending, but is calculated at 2%. Maybe it just hasn't been updated to show the 3%, hopefully the 3% is paid…

  • Same here, it was only calculated at 2% :(

    • Andrew here from cashrewards, sorry about that.. we had a bug in the system that didn't pick up the 3% first time round however we've run all the transactions again and all member accounts should now be showing at the 3%, any issues let us know
