Looking to Replace My Toshiba Z930 (Budget ~$1.2k?)

After an accident last night it's time to replace my laptop. I love everything about the one I've got (review here: http://www.pcworld.idg.com.au/review/toshiba/satellite_z930_…) - especially how thin it is. My only complaint would be the small HDD and I'd hope for at least 200gb in a replacement.

I got really lucky and got this one for $800 so know that I probably won't be able to match that, but don't want to go much over $1,000. Any recommendations?

Overall weight might be an issue, not sure if your carrying it around.

    • That's also a Toshiba laptop but besides that, it's completely different from OP's ultrabook.

OP, check out Samsung, Asus and Dell. They were serious contenders when I was shopping for my ultrabook.

  • Im in a similar boat…

I've got a Z830 and love it to bits but recently the battery has aged.

    Can yours not be repaired?

  • My Z835 is feeling its age this week. I might try once more resetting Windows, and if that doesn't work, I'll have to move on, sadly. The hinge covers fell off last year and so the hinges are exposed like Arnie's hand in Terminator 2. Love it, though.
