Deals15

I got an email from DealsDirect offering 15% off sitewide. The code in the email was "deal15" which does not appear to work. The actual site shows the code is deals15.
This does not stack with the welcome10% code previously posted

Be very careful of their trickery. Upping their prices to cover the discount especially on big ticket items.
I noticed yesterday that they had this built in oven for $1399 (http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http://…) but today the price has jumped up to $2299

      absolutely agree.

Same. I bought a tv unit yesterday for $120 and now the price has gone up to $170. With the 15%, it still does not get as low as $120

    • is that even legal?!

        Dicksmith says yes lol

          Dick knows best

      • for them, legal.

  • A highly illegal practice unless they have been made available for sale at the higher price previously.
The problem is that the true RRP may be the higher price, but the 'normal selling price' is the pre-% off price.
So it may not be technically illegal, but it would be considered deceptive and misleading advertising.

is there a way to search for the previous price?
    like using cache or something?

Yep what you do is you figure out what you want and then you wait until the next 15% off sale to see if it drops cheaper in the meantime. I think it's called patience or not impulse buying or smart planning or all of the above. You should try it!

Looks like a good deal for a 4TB NAS:

    4TB Buffalo DriveStation Duo USB 3.0 with RAID 1 @ $199

The cost of the 2 x 2TB Hard Disks alone, if bought separately, is over $200 in MSY.

      "SOLD OUT". Hmm…

Will be interesting to see if they find more stock tomorrow, after the sale has ended :/

      • marketing tactics. put low prices in big letter then cross it sold out. people think wow this store is cheap and popular, i must check often and buy quickly.
