first time poster…wanting to give back to the ozbargain community

$15 ps2 singstar titles (game only no mics included) at dick smith electronics

cheapest ive seen and ps2 titles are compatible for play on ps3

picked up -

Singstar Rock Ballads
Singstar Hottest hits
Singstar party hits

…works out to be about 50 cents a song

    And so everyone knows, if you have any Singstar on PS3, you can pick up the PS2 copies and use them alongside.

      Does that include the PS3 slim?

      I really, really want the PS2 Disney one. (The movie hits one, not the Hannah Montana one …)

      Edit: Ok I can confirm <b>they work with the slim</b>! The swap disc is a little annoying, but it's a fair tradeoff. Thanks for the heads up, I bought a few this afternoon.

    And so everyone else knows, it's possible to use these PS2 Singstar titles on your PC. I don't have a PS2 so I buy them for that reason.

    • Grab a mic and plug it into your PC
    • Get Ultrastar Deluxe ( http://www.ultrastardeluxe.org/ ) or any ports that support it. Heck, if you can find an Ultrastar port for the X-Box, you might even be able to run them there.
    • Convert the PS2 Singstar files to Ultrastar format. I can't remember which tool I used exactly, but it was either "Singstar DVD converter" or "Extract_Singstar". The one I used to use supported audio, video and lyrics.
    • Play :)

    My collection is small right now, so I might go and buy a few thanks to this sale. +1 from me :)

    lol i went to "The Glen" and they had these titles at $10!!!! lucky i don;t have these titles haha!! what a steal 4 sigstars for $40 bucks.
