Saw that, 2gb ram vs 4gb, but you could buy 2gb ram for the price difference

4GB max, notebookcheck online has "meh" review…okay if you're a student using Word. No gaming, no DVD drive.

Quite the reverse. This is a laptop that is for GENERAL use, when you do NOT have any particular need.
But it's more than good enough for normal people. Useless for Gaming and slow for video encoding, but it will surf the net and write things in Word just as fast as any other laptop.
