OfficeWorks Special - Thermaltake V9 PC Case on Sale Reduced from $97 to $77

40

Found a nice discount at Officeworks on Anzac Highway again here in Adelaide. Its a Thermaltake V9 case. Good for members here in Adelaide that want a cheap case even cheaper. Staticice shows the cheapest as $99 located in NSW at 9289.com.au, cheapest SA reseller is Allneeds at $108 so not a bad saving.

Just remember this is the Black not the Black Edition , the Black edition retails for a lot more and I think comes standard with 3 year warranty.

  • omg thats cheap…
i cant believe OW sells cases

    • This store has just been refurbished, its huge and has a few new lines by the looks of things. Its got a PC parts area. I was surprised myself, then noticed the price.

  • Only select Officeworks sell PC components. I know my local store doesn't.

It led to a lengthy discussion on WP

  • good deal!

  • I think I saw this at Doncaster Officeworks (VIC), but I don't know anything about cases.

Is this a good choice for a Home/Office/Movie PC? I was hoping for a energy-efficient PSU too… Does this come with a PSU?

I am confused by this too, you meant to type something else right?

    • +1

Since the V9 is a mid-range case, it doesn't. Most of staticice prices don't come with a PSU. As a Media centre case, I would prefer a case that is designed to look like a dvd player like the thermaltake DH101, but if you are looking for a normal pc case, it's a really good case, and it sure beats any of those cases that come with Dell, HP or any of those other manufacturers. Seriously, a branded case at this price would never be a regret, at least for me.

If you want a PSU, you can get a decent energy efficient one for $50-100. The antec neoeco 450 goes for ~$65 and you generally can't go wrong with Antec, Thermaltake PSU's are a lot cheaper though (but quality is generally not as good).
