Internet Provider Suggestions from ADSL2Exchanges info

Hi

I am new to Oz and need some help understanding my internet options for a house move
ADSL2Exchanges.com.au says

You are 4568 m from CALO as the crow flies.
Estimated cable length of 5024.8 m.
Estimated speed of 1500
Zone 1

It lists the following possible suppliers
SpinTel
Dodo
EscapeNet
EveryNet
MyNetFone

Other than the obvious price choices, does anyone have any comments or suggestions on these providers or alternatives. There is no NBN available and I don't think cable is available (not certain how to check all suppliers).

Thanks

I think that speed estimate is wildly optimistic although not out of the bounds of reality.

For cable as I understand it - could be wrong - the only two suppliers are Optus and Foxtel Telstra so all you need to do is enter your address on both companies "is it available" tool on their site.

Look out on the street to see if you have cable…
It's a pale grey colour, about 20mm diameter, sits about 1.5m below the power lines.
If you have that, call up Optus and Telstra to see if you can connect through them.

Have a chat to your neighbors too. At that distance, depending on line quality, you may not even be able to get ADSL. You may also be in an area serviced by a RIM, which might also mean you are unable to connect (no available ports), and if you can, you'll only be offered "off-net" (resold Telstra) plans.
You will definitely be able to connect with more ISP's than those listed in your OP. Half those listed are on the "do not use" list.
Look at, in order of price and performance highest to lowest Telstra, Internode, iPrimus, TPG & Exetel.
Steer clear of Dodo and Spintel especially is my advice!
