Cheap 5"+ Smartphone only used to watch videos.

Hi,

Situation;
I travel often and have a wide array of TV shows and movies I enjoy watching, I currently do so on my iPhone 6.
However I have noticed a decline and am worried about the battery life diminishing significantly as I often charge and discharge or keep it plugged in while watching. It can't be a tablet as I've tried my partners and it's too baulky. Also needs Bluetooth which is why I'm leaning towards a phone.

So my question is, what is the cheapest big screen phone that has some expandable memory?

I saw some on dx.com for around $150 but some of these don't even mention video playback which worries me.

    The decline in battery life will be because you have bluetooth on (for headphones?) and the phone is now a year old but iOS9 is rumoured to fix that.

    It can't be a tablet as I've tried my partners and it's too baulky.

    What do you mean by that?

      he means he doesnt look for a tablet because he tried to bring his partner tablet and feel it is too big. he need 5+" cheap phone with bluetooth. period.

      in regards to the overall life of the battery that is true, whether iOS9 fixes it remains to be seen but I've had iPhones since the 3 came out and it can sometimes improve it but given my circumstances I doubt it matters.

      In regards to the tablet I really need something I can fit in my pocket I guess, but am trying to go as big as I can to make viewing easier.

    Any 5" phone will play back video perfectly fine.
    Something like the THL 4400 would be perfect if you can still find one. Or the THL 5000 2015. Both have nice, big batteries. (but they're a bit chubby as a result)
    Worth considering is the new Amazon 6" Fire tablet..

    Correction.. THL 4000 is my recommendation.
    The 4400 is pretty pricey!

      Any links to any cheap options? I can only see 7" ones which are a touch too big. Would they also have the bluetooth requirement?
