Just sign up on Origin(for PC) if not already and download the game

Mod: Open beta moved to the forums (available to everyone, no key required). Whilst this is a popular title/deal, we understand that there are many open betas available and in general should be in the free software forum. This is not a closed beta with limited availability. Whilst our guidelines state that free items/trials that are paid for in the future are okay as deals - a beta is not the same product as the final paid version and is therefore not comparable.

          @Gaggy: Been playing it a bit but tbh it doesn't seen very good, when i say that i don't mean visually as that is very nice it's just kinda boring playing the same two game modes on the same two maps/planets over and over again.

          @holden93: True. The graphics are pretty good compared to BF4, but I started having a headache due to too much glare or strain in my eyes after an hour. But as you said, it was boring after an hour of play. Hope it is not like the Titanfall.
          Never had this issue in Battlefield even in maps having ice.

          @mr kindface: while more maps and modes will help it won't make it a long lasting game i think it will be much like titanfall great for a little bit but gets old fast. we will see.

          Maybe im wrong but this is what ive gotten from the betas so far.

      this is confirmed as incorrect, although it is almost right. It's actually 8GB ram and a gtx 780 - that's for 1080p 60fps ultra settings too.

    IS FREE = DEAL 4 ME :)
    However: It did not work = No deal lol

    Says it nees nVidia 358.60 drivers and nVidia's latest (Beta included) drivers are 358.50
    I guess that we will have to wait a day or so … :(

    Beta is NOT a deal.
    1.not a full game.
    2. Still a test build of the game and not something that no one has ever paid for.

      Regardless of not having to pay for a BETA, it is still a valid deal and it informs those who haven't heard about this. It does not warrant a negative vote. For example, other BETA posts such as this and this have been rather popular… :)

        The forum is a great place to ask question inform others about various things and just have a chat about a specific topic.

        the deal section is about Money savings plain and simple.

        If i would of saw those beta's posted i would of reported and negged those aswell.

      lots of trials get popular deals on this site, this is no different.

      you know they DO charge for some betas.

    Free is the right price for a gimped version of Battlefront 2. EA still hasn't got the memo that you're supposed to put content IN to sequels, rather than take it out. But everyone's going to give them money anyway so I guess they don't need to learn that.

    If anyone is having issues starting the game after you see the "press enter" menu screen, press alt+enter to get into window mode to help you play the game.

    If you cant even see the "press enter" screen and all you get is an "intel driver error" then a black screen, go into your nvidia card settings and turn off "auto detect" and select your card.

    Downloading with my 'Australian' internet service. ie. MIGHT be finished downloading before the beta period ends!

        Yeah, I started the download a couple of days ago, but had some other stuff on Steam I needed, so paused it and forgot to unpause. Oh well, the paint drying on the wall will entertain me until this is finished.

          Yeah back when i had adsl was at like 1.5mbps and hated that i couldn't participate in beta's

    This is just the beta. You don't get to own the game. Once beta development is over and the retail release version is released you must buy the game to keep playing. Beta is nothing more than a developmental limited time trial so it's not actually a deal.

      Yeah but the 30 day Netflix trial deal got a massive 438 positive votes. this beta is no different. People appreciate it and it's a good service.

    Any try the beta and feel that game is too..simple? They shouldn't have taken out stuff like being able to climb right into a vehicle.

      Yeah, I know it's just a beta, but it does feel very simple (and it's only releasing in a month's time). The card and powerup gameplay elements don't really fit the Star Wars theme to me, either. Overall, not terribly impressed myself.
