Free Service ($150) + Clean with 4 Tyres Bought: TyreSales (+ Buy 3 Get 1 Free for Some Tyres)

100

Had to buy some tyres and came across this in my research.

There are many dealers who fit the tyres, and some of them also offer the free service and car clean when you buy 4 tyres (there were 3 in my area I could choose from to get those extra's).

As I needed a service anyway, it was a bonus and saves me $150 elsewhere.

PLUS, my kids don't need to clean the car this weekend :) Saves me $15 payment to them :)

I'm getting four Kumho Ecowing KH30's for $110 each. Cheapest I could find elsewhere was $115 ea. and without a free service :)

  • Only selected brands.

the free service was the selling point for me (who needs one… well the car does).

Is this available in all states ???

    • what about state of confusion?

I couldn't see anything on the page about a free service

    • It only shows once you've searched for some rubber

A box jumped up for me for a free USB Jetpack (USB powerbank) for the first 200 uses - code JETPAK. Valued at $29.99. Possibly a different promo pops up for different people.

  • I came close to purchasing 2 sets of tyres through this website yesterday, however I ended up buying locally (WA) as Tyresales prices were easily beaten, which I didn't think would happen. I went to Kmart Tyre & Auto for one set & John Hughes Tyres aka Tyreright for the other). It made no difference that Tyresales had 'buy 3 get 1 free' regarding price beating, so no need to wait for the next 'Buy 3 get 1 free' tyre sale.

Also Kmart have a tyre price guarantee and will beat any cheaper price found on an online store or by another retailer in Australia on tyres they stock. Unfortunately they don't carry Michelin tyres (Pilot Sport 3), which is why I went to John Huges for the other set - http://www.ktas.com.au/guarantees/tyre-price-guarantee/

Kmart also have what they call 'Tyrelife Saver' when purchasing 2 or more tyres in one transaction and is valued at $150 which gives you free wheel balancing, tyre rotation and tyre air pressure check every 10,000km's (up to 50,000km's) or 6 months, whichever comes first. Plus you can use your Flybuys card

Given that I was able to beat 'TyreSales' price by over $100 for each set of tyres and once you factor in Kmarts 'Tyrelife Save' package and Flybus, it made much more sense to buy from a local bricks and mortar store.

Food for thought for others in the market for tyres

yea this time i didnt bother looking, but every other tyresales "deal" has been easily beaten elsewhere
