JVC Full HD TV - 65" $1,019.15, 50" $594.15 @ Dick Smith

100
GET15OFF

This seems to be the cheapest this 65" has been able to be bought for, other daily deal discounts have brought it down to $1162.32.

$1199 price online, with today's previously posted 15% off code brings it down to $1019.15.

I have seen the 65" in store, fairly certain it doesn't have a JVC badge on it.

If 65" is too big, a 50" JVC can be had for $594.15 - http://www.dicksmith.com.au/tvs/jvc-50-fhd-dled-led-lt50n551…

Discount applies to online purchases only.

it was licensed by a chinese tv manufacturer as was hitachi.

      • it appears for australia the rights were acquired by yale prima. the tvs are oem jobs from china. prima doesn't instill the greatest of consumer confidence.

Exactly, but it's a different proposition if you think you're getting well known Japanese quality brand.

    • AM-Tran, a Taiwanese group bought the rights. They are also the manufacturers of Vizio brand which are one of the best selling brands in the U.S due to their reasonable quality and good prices. They have a turnover apparently of several billion a year.

  • i have checked all of sydney for pick up and none available.

  • Is it a SMART tv? Can it be turned into a smart tv? coz all i wanna do it play flash videos on a tv for the tv shows that I currently watch on my laptop? Any suggestions??

    • plug your laptop in via HDMI or use a chromecast.

    • Who still uses flash these days?

      • Many news and video websites still stream content with flash. It remains the most common format for video delivery.

I guess I use a different Internet to that used by the "many".

        • @Lukian:

Many streaming services like Hulu use Flash, as do major Australian newspapers like SMH and the Australian.

  • 50" JVC not wall mountable? Surely thats a mistake! Can't find any other inof about the tv on external websites to confirm.
