Western Digital TV (WDTV) Live - Sydney NSW

Hi,

I live in the Northern Suburns of Sydney. A quick search of staticice.com.au shows the cheapest is $169 + postage from QLD or $177 from NSW.

Shopbot shows the WDTV HD (old model) is $159 at Clive Peeters (http://www.shopbot.com.au/pp-western-digital-wd-tv-live-pric…)

Here is a $170 receipt that was posted on Whirlpool:

Any cheaper? Clive Peeters is a long way from my house — can I price match at JB Hifi?

Comments

  • I ended up getting one from Officeworks for about $170 (price guarantee over mwave's $179.50)

  • It's a nice media player but the networking is crapolla. When I first got it, I used to be able to stream movies from computers on the network and it was fine for a few firmware updates, and then one day it just stopped being able to see movies from shared folders on the network. Seems to work best with USB hard drives. Also if you have h264 movies with AAC audio in .mp4 containers, they stutter. If you remux the movies into .mvk then it doesn't stutter any more.
