  • Just beware the promoter is Foxtel. The day after entering, three calls from an unknown number (blocked by my phone) then received this SMS:

FOXTEL: Hi! Your payment for Foxtel Play couldn't be processed. To avoid disconnection please visit foxtel.com.au/myfoxtelplay

    Interesting.

The T&Cs don't say you need to apply (or be) a Foxtel subscriber. I made no payment to Foxtel. I've never been a Foxtel customer.

Then today I received an MMS from an unknown number. I'm paranoid about opening it in case it's a virus. The number shown is +61-40-955-0533 and it's 212KB. I had no joy Googling the number.
    Anyone else experience this?

    • I've posted up 200(?) of these competitions and entered nearly all of them and never received anything like that. I have had a few people call offering me insurance or telephone deals (maybe a dozen over the last 12 months) and they address me with the shortened version of my name which I use/autopopulate the entry forms with.

      • Typical, my FIRST entry and I get that weird SMS.

Turns out todays MMS and calls were from a business I made an online enquiry to, but as it's an employees phone I didn't recognise the number.
