Tim Cook Makes up Ridiculous Story to Flog More iWatches

Tim Cook recently gave an interview which was quite erudite and wonderful until I got to the bit about the football player and the iWatch. You may or may not know (or care even) that whilst the iWatch has been the most successful smart watch by some considerable margin it has also failed to sell the 30 million units that Cook was predicting and is instead at around 7 million units.

Apparently the young man was saved from a life ending injury by his Apple iWatch. You see, the young man, who totally isn't being named due to the whole thing being made up you know, was at football training, the American variety we can only assume, where the iWatch alerted him to an "elevated" heart rate.

Having dutifully informed his "doctor" he was sent away and - honest! - "the doctor told him he would have died the following day had he not come in. Basically his organs were shutting down."

Baha OK Tim :D
