  • This or xiaomi speaker for $25?

I wouldn't get either of em, but if i had to choose, i'll probably get xiaomi. Only reason is this is sony's old model and I've seen sony x3 on sell for $75. If you push can increase your budget, i'll get sony's x33 for 150

      • what are the main differences of the x33 vs the x3? I can only see a better battery life of 12hrs vs 7hrs. Anything else major?

        • +1

from my understanding, its only smaller, more colors options, and support some Sony only HD codec thingy that no one seems to use.
Sound quality seems to be the same.

I almost bought this few month ago, but end up buying Bose sound mini link 2 for $239 from Myer

        • @Raver0124:
Battery on the X33 is rated for 12 hours. Not sure if that ends up being true or not though. :P

        • The X3 runs from 2 18650 cells.

So the X3 plus a powerbank like this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/220785 should give you more battery life at around half the price and the cost of a little convenience.

I got the x3 for around ~$75 on a previous bargain and find it really nice for the size.

Definitely this! I have both and the Sony is far superior. Xiaomi is nice with treble and tone, however has exactly zero bass.

Battery life is around two hours on full volume. Four hours on half volume or more on 30%.

Cant charge while playing which is a punish.

      Has nice bass.

  • Got mine for roughly $75, good speaker for the price, suits my needs perfectly.

Probably the best sound for its size after Bose Soundlink Mini (and half the price).
