Damn it, I bought the magnetic clip-on keyboard case even though I've already got the Type+ case…

A word of caution with the Type+ case is that it will start to fray on the edges after a while. If you can live with it like I can, it's not too much of an issue, but its not as durable as one hopes it should be.

    • The Type+ fabric does seem that way instead of the Ultrathin Keyboard Folio's rubbery cover, but the Ultrathin Keyboard Folio's clips are not as good. I think Logitech fixed that with the Type+.

Amazing price. Just bought two with visa checkout and it's the same cost as one plus postage. Now I've got one for myself and another one as a gift for Christmas or to sell on eBay!

  • +1

Just got two Logitech Ultrathin covers as well - great deal!

  • Does anyone know the difference between these two?

Logitech Ultrathin Magnetic Clip-On Keyboard Cover for iPad mini

    and

Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover For iPad Mini

    • looks no difference to me lol

  • anyone knows whether the cover for air is competible with air 2?

    • I'd like to know this too - i'd prefer the space gray for my ipad air

    • Best to just Call logitech support tomorrow morning & ask

    • Covers are NOT compatible but screen protectors are.

      • skeptical… dimensions seem the same

        • +1

I have both so trust me they are not.

          @dlakers3peat:
          You are right
          Amazon Q&A:
Question: Can I use this product with my iPad Air 1st generation? It seems that Air 1 is slightly thicker than Air 2(1.4mm). Would be ok if it can hold my tab.
Answer: No. I test my 1st generation on it and it does not fit.

    • Considering that the iPad Air 2 is "just" 0.05" thinner (dimension is the same), it should be compatible.

The Q&A section at Amazon suggests the same.

    • +1

The iPad Air 2 is slightly thinner, the mute/rotation lock switch is gone, and the volume rocker repositioned. At the back, the camera is also repositioned. While the iPad Air 2 will fit in the Keyboard Cover, the angle will be different because it's thinner.

I can't remember if the camera hole in the Keyboard Folio and Type+ is round or not. If it's round, it will not fit the iPad Air 2 because as described above.

    • Due to the silent button not being on the Air 2, the volume keys don't line up. Other than that, it does work

  • +2

    Does this fit normal iPad?
    Or just the air edition

    • I'd like to know too.

    • What's a normal iPad? If it says Air/Mini, then it won't fit on any other iPad.

      • Like The new ipad.. ipad 3?

  • +2

I have one of these for my Air and the girlie has one for her mini. Brilliant keyboard and I wouldn't go back to the virtual keyboard at all.

After a year and a half of light use, the battery hasn't been recharged on my Air keyboard.

    No issues whatsoever on 9.0.2.

Will this work on iPad air 2

If you just want the case you can buy on Scoopon using coupon visa10 for free shipping

  • For the Ipad Air, What's the difference between the Type+ and Ultrathin?

    • +1

Type+ is newer, fabric outer cover, better clips for the iPad Air. The Ultrathin Keyboard Folio is the previous version, with a rubbery covering similar to Apple's polyurethane Smart Cover.

Thank you very much OP. Used Visa Checkout for an additional $20 off 2 units.

  • +1

Bought 3 units roughly paid $12.33 each. Thanks.

Get free shipping via club catch plus $20 off via visa checkout.

    • How do you get club catch? Is it by paying $69/yr or 30 days free trail?
Can you explain how you it for $12 each?
      Thanks

      • Club catch trial membership entitles you to free shipping for 30 days (sign up for the trial via the main page). 3 units will cost you 3 x $19 - $20 (if you choose Visa Checkout) = $37.

        • Just figured it out, not used to applying various promotions in one deal ;)
          Thanks for confirmation.

        • I signed up for club catch trial and only got 7 days of membership

        • @CodeXD:

This has now changed to 30 days.

I will see what else comes up before 30/12 else just cancel before then $69 is steep

I did not store my Credit card details with them so not sure how they can charge me

        • @neonlight:

Aw man, that sucks, I signed up 3 days ago for the 2tb portable hdd

in the background I still see $38.95, will I get charged $38.95 coz I dont have Visa?

    • MasterCard works with visa checkout, get the value of your cart to $40 should work, activate club catch trial for free shipping

      • thanks, for free ship club I gotta spend $50

        • Yes, but after visa checkout your only going to spend $30 to get $50 value :)

  • Damn. Forgot the Referral 10$. Anyway how to get back?

  • I tried to pay with visa checkout bur the option is not there? How do you guys pay with visa checkout ? Thank you

  • +1

got an ipad, not sure if I need a keyboard.

What are you guys getting the keyboard for?

    • To type

      • yea makes sense but what if for example I use a laptop to type up documents.

Not sure if this is useful, unless theres some other use i can think off >.<

    • To add to the weight.

    • +1

External keyboard is way better as the virtual on screen keyboard does not cover the screen when typing and the speed and convenience of full physical keys help :)

  • How does the referral works? If my wife and I have two accounts, can my wife refer me?

    • Get a second wife and get her to refer you

      • Illegal in Oz :-)

        • Not for long, one would think…

  • +1

Bought. Wow so cheap. Now try to find some usefulness for it.

  • Drat, just saw this and need one for the mini as the on screen is way over sensitive and the bane of my life.

If any one sees another one, or has a spare to liquidate, plse let me know asap. :)

    • Scoppon has a similar deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/221703), also in spacegrey

      • thanks Apple, that's great. Any hints on how to get the $10 postage off?

EDIT, there is a $10 off if paying by VISA. I don't have one of those.

        • as said above, even if you dont have a visa you can still use visa check out. its like paypal

  • Would the mini ones fit all mini 123?

    • according to logitechs site, yes

  • +1

Thanks. Bought one for iPad Air and Mini.

  • I would buy one but so many hoops to jump through to get a deal

VISA, referrals, club catch, why can't they just be like a normal store? They are not Amazon, who wants to join their crappy company?

    • why can't they just be like a normal store?

They will charge the same as a normal store

  • +1

Great deal grabbed one, used Android app + visa checkout 30 day trial cub member. Spent $50 free shipped with $20 discount

  • Stillcant seem to understand the difference between

$19 (same as on Catch of the Day)
    https://shopping.scoopon.com.au/event/best-of-tech-xmas-edit…

$69 (same as on Catch of the Day)
    https://shopping.scoopon.com.au/event/best-of-tech-xmas-edit…

Spoke to Logitech customer care the mororn said they are same I said part numbers are different.
He said oh ok, maybe the improve the magnetic strip.
Part number / Model number for the expensive ones are: ($69)
    Silver Model no: 920-006535
    Grey Model no: 920-006534

The $19 one part numbers are
    Grey Model no.: 920006221
    Silver Model no.: 920006212

Makes me think that the below are the same just different colours.
So these will work with iPad Air and iPad Air 2

Logitech Ultrathin Magnetic Clip-On Keyboard Cover for iPad Air 2 - Space Grey $18.99

Logitech Ultrathin Magnetic Clip-On Keyboard Cover for iPad Air - White/Silver $18.99

Want one, but then I will need to buy an iPad Air 2/Air/Mini.

  • Anyone know if the mini cover would work for the mini 4?

    • Wouldn't be great as the mini 4 is slightly longer than the mini, 2 and 3.

  • how does the club catch work? I tried to get a 30 day trial but it wouldn't let me unless i punch in my credit card details.

  • Does the USB port read files?

    • +1

Haha, you wish. Only for charging unfortunately.

      • Thanks dude

  • +1

Thanks, even though I got Club Catch trial to get the Antler business case on the weekend, it is better to use VISA10 and go through Scoopon for free shipping. I got the Type+ for iPad Air for $19 delivered ;)

The new features of iOS 9 really make this kind of thing worthwhile, like for using with Microsoft Onenote, you get much more screen space with a bluetooth keyboard.

I actually paid $14 on Aliexpress on the weekend as well, to get an iPad Air case with a stand and a hand grip, without the keyboard, haha. I will be doing lots of walking around with the ipad so I will use each case for a different scenario.

  • Found the mini at Scoopon and used a Visa card to make it under $19 with VISA cc code VISA10 to get $100 off. Wipes out the delivery charge.

  • Darn, all sold out :(

  • I was way too slow… :'(

  • Thanks, received my white mini keyboard covers today

  • I ordered one cover for ipad air and 5 for ipad air 2. Got all the 6 covers delivered for ipad air. They have definitely stuffed up the order big time.

  • +4

I just got an apology email from COTD and they are giving me a full refund for the keyboards and I get to keep them because of their stuff up!

  • Thank you for your recent purchase of Logitech Ultrathin Magnetic Clip-On Keyboard Cover for iPad Air - Space Grey in order (xxxxxxxxx).

We have recently become aware that due to an error we advertised it as suitable for an iPad Air 2 when in fact it is for the iPad Air 1.

As a result, we have processed a full refund for the iPad Keyboard Cover and associated postage. Please allow 2-3 business days for this refund to be visible in your account.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. On this occasion you are welcome to keep the iPad Keyboard Cover you have received or donate it to charity.

Uhm, ok. But I ordered one for iPad 1 and one for iPad 2. Will they refund full postage?
Fair outcome though, I have to say. CoTD has really improved their service compared to several years ago.

    • Same here got an apology from them. Really good customer service. The return postage is paid by them. Not sure about the initial postage. Happy even without that.

  • Has anyone tried whether it works with their iPad air 2?

    • +2

I tried it on air 2 and it works perfectly fine, but as other stated above, probably much shorter battery life per charge since it says 3 months while the ipad air 2 one supposed to last 2 years

      • It last 2 years because it uses button batteries rather than rechargeable. Personally I prefer to have a recharging mechanism and charge every 2-3 months, really not an inconvenience at all.

      • Ok I was wondering about this isn't iPad air slightly thicker than air 2? I tried it last night fitting on air 2 it appears I can't tilt or the angle is slightly off.
