OMG when I searched this it was 7 years ago!

Looks like Sydney Water now start at $517. Didn't see anything about seniors discount.

  • who either have no toilet in your bathroom

Why would I want a toilet in my bathroom? I'm not American. The toilet goes in the small room next door to the bathroom, thankyou.

You must live a very sheltered life if you think Aussies don't put toilets in their bathrooms.

It does happen in some houses in Australia in the past, I think the trend now is to separate and I agree…it's gross stinking out the bathroom then someone has to take a shower with it smelling like shit.

Likewise if you're taking a long shit, you end up hogging the whole bathroom…

Tongue in cheek boy. However, in Perth, it is unusual. Yes for newer small apartments as a space-saver. Common in en-suites, though better houses will even have a door on the ensuite loo.
But the norm for a house is still at least one separate WC. Are Melbourne/Sydney more like the US?

Check this google link and see if you can find many dunnys in bathrooms:

        https://www.google.com.au/search?q=perth+house+plans&tbm=isc…

For Melbourne, much the same, Sydney, lots of opera house plans. I guess Sydneysiders cannot afford houses any more.

Original poster seemed to be assuming that loo in bathroom was the norm.

Like for like installation only. Ie. remove old crapper (dethrone as they ingeniously put it) and install new crapper.

    Wifes Christmas present sorted

You might have to wrap up the old toilet before you give it to her.

LOL. Thank you for a good laugh ozy.

What's the landing zone like with this one? With some cheaper poorly designed units there can be a lot of brushing involved and I'm not talking for a whiter smile.

    • +8

I would take the risk of having to do some brushing rather than having to get Poseidon Kisses every time I use the toilet

    The Fine Print
    • Not valid on Sat-Sun and public holidays
    • Valid for toilet suite ELS001 or RWF003 only
    • Valid for installation within 40km of Brisbane / Melbourne / Sydney CBDs only (please contact Nu Product & Install if unsure)
    • Installation is valid for 'like for like' product. Please see link for more information http://goo.gl/mnTlgS and http://goo.gl/md5cQb
    • If in the unlikely event, the appointed trades person surveys the site and deems that the site does not fall within the 'like for like' terms and conditions, the appointed trades person will advise the customer of same, including the provision of a quotation of the costs to complete the required works. This will occur prior to any works commencing. If the customer decides they do not wish to proceed, a $90 call out fee will apply to cover the trades person's time and costs
    • $50 charge applies to remove old unit off premises if requested
    • See website for warranty details: http://goo.gl/Vfqylr

The 'Like for Like' condition sounds like extra charges or hassles that will be added to the cost of the product http://www.nupandi.com.au/#!installation-terms/c13mi so be careful, remembering there are 2 types of toilets, connector toilet seats http://www.caroma.com.au/bathrooms/toilet-suites/toilet-suit… and wall faced http://www.caroma.com.au/bathrooms/toilet-suites/toilet-suit… and they will charge you extra if the product isnt like for like.

Maybe okay deal but buyer beware; the money you thought you saved my easily be wiped away or flushed down the drain!

    • +2

Exactly my concern, we are on a concrete slab so worried that will complicate things. With the callout fee and voucher paid you could be in a tight spot and end up flushing money down the toilet.

      • That would be a shit situation to be in.

        • geez groupon gets a bum wrap on here sometimes!

  • Waiting for a BOGOF deal

  • And $50 to dispose old one…
