Where to Buy Waring Blender Cheaper than AUD $944?

Hi,

The misses wants this commercial blender and insists there are no substitutes. The cheapest we can find is as per the following URL.

https://www.cafeideas.com.au/waring-mx1200xtxee-xtreme-hi-po…

Buying the blender per se from US is cheaper but it requires a AUD 400 voltage converter transformer.

Please let us know where we can buy cheaper than AUD 944?

and insists there are no substitutes

May I ask why? Genuinely curious. Like what is she going to use it for?

    • I just bought a kmart job for $29. Made perfect smoothies just now :P

      • Your opinion of a 'perfect smoothie' will be very different to others.

She claims the results are very smooth with no gritty residues. It can make warm soup, ice cream and turn ice into snow in seconds. All in all, this is a commercial grade blender and household grade blenders cannot compare.

      • Ah. Sounds like a Thermomix kinda gadget.

(with a good chance the novelty will wear off after a few uses :P)

Never ceases to amaze me how rubes can be convinced that a machine to smash food against a blunt blade needs a 1000 dollar investment, microchips, enough power to move a small car towing a trailer etc.

        • I think a lot of the need for a blender with a powerful motor has to do with speed as well, some people just don't have the time.

Tell her she's mental and pay for her cooking classes. $900 blender. rofl….

  • Optimum 9400 or 9900 might be a better choice. 9400 is similar to vitamix 9900 is what boost juice use, so complete overkill at home

I've had the 9400 for a few years, I've worn some blades down but replacement parts are cheaper than vitamix

    • I've worn some blades down

Interesting - presumably you're consuming that metal.

I've never had this issue with $30 blenders, perhaps it's to do with way to much power being used pointlessly? Or it's planned to get the gullible back in to replace their blender for fools.

      • Blending dates without soaking them, really hard objects can weaken the stainless steel

I blend pears and other items regularly down to juice effectively
