Adidas TECHFIT Compression Gear $28 (+Shipping) & Bags & Bottles; 25% off Entire Soccer Store!

130

If you're a gym person and you're looking around for good quality compression gear, here's the place to buy them. Rebel and AMartAS are selling them for more than $60 each!

I happen to come across this store, it's the Derby County Football Club shop in the UK and they're having 25% off the entire store until the end of Feb. DCFC is a relatively small club and if you haven't heard of them, that's probably the reason why they're clearing their stock.

The store sells some pretty awesome stuff even if you don't support DCFC or wouldn't mind about their club logos on the merchandise, while some don't feature them.

TECHFIT sleeveless/short sleeve: £16.15 ($28)
TECHFIT shorts: £14.68 ($25)

As for shipping, orders up to £30 is £10 ($17), and above that is £15 ($26). I bought quite a few items to thin out the postage :)

  • How much are Adidas compression shirts normally in Australia?

    • depends on the brand, but last time I was at Rebel, adidas and canterbury were way over $60…

  • Humm, I do need a new pair of these, what are the Adidas ones like compared to Skins?

    • I haven't used skins before, but adidas is pretty good. The material doesn't seem to lose its stretchiness. There are 2 types of compression gear; the ones they sell here (medium compression) and the more expensive ones (powerweb).

These ones should be new as they're on adidas' site :)

      • Yeah sweet, I'll give them a go, hopefully they're still available after Thursday…

  • Add (approx) A$19+ for shipping on top!

    • Yeah, but it's worth it if you buy 2 or 3 and stroll around the store for other goodies. Even if you buy only one it's still considerably cheaper than the said stores :)

  • i don't know any thingabout Adidas TECHFIT. Is there any good product(s) for running in winter? thanks in advance.

    • These are really tight shirts that compress muscles. Apart from feeling squashed it makes your body really warm (you can pick a size larger than usual). I dunno how but I can say after gymming I get a lot hotter then not wearing them. Canterbury and others usually call them "base layers" and yes, you can wear them under a t-shirt or so when running in winter.

      • i've found these to be great for ice hockey too.

  • How do you know what size to get?
iSamurai cheers for posting this deal up, but i'm reluctant to purchase due to sizing. There's no size chart on the website.

    • I suggest that you pick a size or 2 larger than your typical size. Normally I wear size M for adidas t-shirts and soccer jerseys etc but for these I pick a size larger, it fits nicely and is fairly tight (that's what it's suppose to do) yet comfortable.

You can look here for adidas' sizing chart: http://shop.adidas.co.uk/pages/products/size_chart.jsf

Found a store that's even cheaper than DCFC

Prices are actually cheaper than labelled on the website! This is because the prices include VAT tax. BUT on checkout, the VAT fees do not apply (obviously if getting it delivered to Australia)

They also have the PowerWeb Garments:

    • their shipping costs more. £31.14 is the cheapest option for items up to 1.80kg

      • yeah, if you see their shipping it's £31.14 and above that to 5kg is £65.34! The DCFC shop charges £15 flat rate at most and it's sent by DHL with a tracking number.

Their sales reps are also really friendly too. I originally asked them about postage just for 1 item and they said they can do it for £5. I eventually ended up buying a lot more so I paid £15 for postage, but that is really not much relative to the stuff I bought.

    Go the Rams.

  • Im still trying to understand which size i want to go for.

Im usually a 34-36 in Pants/Shorts/Jeans. Going by the chart above, what would size would best suit me?
Not sure about my shirt size though, usually a M or L in Australian sizes.
Anyone able to suggest the sizes i need?

      pants sizes aren't relevant here.
If you're ok with M/L shirts, for compression garments you could pick M if you want a really snug/tight fit. L if you want slightly looser and more comfortable. I wear M but for these shirts I pick L, as I feel they're tight enough already; i.e. one size larger. Note that if it's too tight it could lose its elasticity.

You could go to Rebel and try them on but normally they come in small boxes so I dunno if they'll allow you to open them.
