Telstra Online Deals Don't Ever Ever Trust Them

After weeks and weeks of waiting and being assured my tablet order was going to be cancelled, it turned up.
I wasn't to know it was the tablet when picking up my mail from the post office.

I had the rep Gerd say he would help me, but he has disappeared.

There systems are a real joke, 2 hours today spend online as well.

    What are you talking about?

Somebody put tablets in his letterbox and now they've disappeared.

Sorry, i was a bit vague in the description.

I ordered a HTC tablet for $299.00 (Ozbargain special)
I was told I would receive a notification 2 days later.
I followed it up 2 weeks later and the rep said, he couldn't find order, either dispute the transaction or go to telstra store and get them to create an account and then they can refund it.
I disputed the transaction, and 1 week later the tablet shows up.
I have spent 2 hours today and they are going to send me a return satchel.
It is always a hassle with Telstra online sales.
I didn't finalize the disputed transaction, so we'll see how long it takes Telstra to refund me.
Telstra conveniently blamed me, as I picked it up, (unbelievable)

It really sounds like a storm in a teacup.
Sometimes things go wrong, but from your story it just sounds like you're not getting immaculate customer service or experience, not the best and not the worst either.
It certainly doesn't sound like it warrants the title "don't ever trust them"

So you got it in the end, unannounced, but you wanted a refund instead so now you're going through the hassle of sending it back?

    Umm…ok

  • They told me the order was cancelled,
    I bought another tablet
    I don't need 2.

I would of been happy with a little customer service, lets see, delayed response, by 2 weeks, told transaction was cancelled. told to dispute it, hours spent chasing it up, next the thing arrives after being cancelled, more time spent speaking to them to organise a refund.

Yeah, I see what you mean, I should just accept it.
