  • How low is the cheapest for this? Looks ok price, is v6 the latest generation?

  • I'm so confused with V6. So many price variations so what's the differences?

    • +1

i believe this is the base model.

      • +2

Yes this is the Base model
        Then-
        V6 Animal
        V6 Motorhead
        V6 Fluffy
        V6 Absolute

The Motorhead , fluffy and Absolute are the latest models

        • So I'm guessing the motor is the same across the range, its just the attachments that makes the difference?

        • Yeah it is the head that makes the difference

          @jpee:

          It always does ;)

        • Yep ;)
Hmm maybe that's why I bought the absolute 2 days ago :)

  • Always handy after the party.

  • +1

    jpee you da man!

  • Anyone with the v6 had issue where at wall charger end the cables has frayed and become exposed? I think mines about a month old

    • +1

Nope, but Dyson's warranty service folks are pretty good.

      • thanks i'll give them a buzz

  • This is the cheapest it's ever been as far as I remember if it's $321. I bought it for $350 about half a year ago.

    • Did you get that free Dyson pack with extra heads back then?

      • Not really. There were some but as a part of the product and no extra.

The Bosch Athlet has higher voltage, much longer running time, easier to clean brush, it is standalone instead of having to place it back on the charging dock like the V6. The Athlet has an indicator for when the filter need to be cleaned and an indicator for the battery, Dyson neither. 3 power settings instead of having to use the trigger. German motor. Personally I think the Bosch has a much better pickup.

So tempted to wait till after 28 Dec to see if Dyson will have a new promotion
Good thing about HN is you can still choose pickup from a store that is out of stock (you just have to wait till next shipment to arrive)

  • how do you add this to cart, keeps forever loading for me

EDIT: ok I did it by just adding after searching the item screen (with all the other dyson products)

  • Would the Good Guys beat this price? As per: http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/pay-less

    • +1

I don't think they would as $50 is part of Amex cash back

  • What's the difference between the V6 and the DC44/45?

Target has the DC44 animal for $439…
    http://www.target.com.au/p/dyson-dc44-animal-handstick/57460…

    • The DC44 predates the DC59, which became the cheaper end of the V6 range.

The main differences are the interchangeable heads, how long the battery lasts and whether you got more powerful suction.

Personally for about the same price for a similar vacuum head, I'd go the V6 and leave the earlier models alone. If the DC44 was around $300, then maybe.

  • Deal has expired. Harvey now have it for $478 and the Amex $50 has reached the first 20,000 and is no longer available.

The $25 welcome credit for Harvey online is still working.
