Glenlofty Shiraz 2013 - $102 Per Dozen Delivered @ Vinomofo

70

A very popular Shiraz is back, and currently with free delivery. Numerous vintages of the Glenlofty Shiraz have been on Vinomofo, and I doubt this 2013 vintage will be available much longer. Alas not the 2012 Shiraz Viognier (yes I missed out too), but a good drop none the less and certainly a unique type of Shiraz.

For those not used to Vinomofo the identity is hidden to protect the winery but allow consumers cheap prices.

There are ~20 other Black Market wines with free delivery if this doesn't take your fancy.

Cheers!

  • Last time ordered thought I was getting Glenlofty but received Mount Avoca still a nice drop all the same!

The 2014? Someone posted the wrong expected wine on that deal (not me!).

Mount Avoca is very good wine. Glenlofty is only popular here because its cheap.

I got the Glenlofty last time. Great flavour… Almost closer to a Pinot it is so light and easy to down

Does anyone know what the secret deal mount barker Riesling 2014 is - need something to accompany my pool swimming over the summer months

    Anyone?

So, looking at my 2016 edition of my Haliday book the 5 star Mount Barker wineries are Gilbert's, Plantagenet, Poachers Ridge, West Cape Howe and Xabregas. Checking each producers website I can see none that are selling 2014 Riesling for $29. Sorry. But I reckon it's worth a shot… At least, it is for me.

      • Capel Vale Cellar Exclusive Riesling - the only thing that puts me off is the mention of round mouthfeel etc

This equals residual sugar in my book and is a definable no no for the Rieslings that I like

        • Yep, you're right. It's been ok, although not at all complex. Great for my visiting mother-in-law though.
