Citizen Eco-Drive Men's 43mm CB0017-03W Watch $329 + P/H @ COTD

40

Was having a look around for watch specials, was surprised to see this price.

Beautiful looking watch, automatically syncs itself to most countries timezone, solar powered, sapphire glass, leather belt, 43mm (so not too large, but still has decent body) I really don't believe you'll get a nicer looking (and useful) time piece at this price.

This watch usually retails for $500+

Edit: Star Jewels has lowered the price of this watch to $279 at my request, absolute bargain!

  • Nice watch, but the radio control probably won't work here. I have a Citizen radio-controlled watch, and live in Sydney. The radio control works here once or twice a year, but all the time in South East Asia, Europe and the US. I think our nearest radio synchroniser is in Fukushima or Tokyo.

  • That's a lot of money for a made in China quartz.

    • Made in China? Citizen watches movements are all made in Japan.

  • but.. what do I do with my Pebble watch?

  • +1

I have a couple of Casios with the atomic time keeping feature. The cheaper one actually works most nights here in Melbourne (quite amazing really), but the more expensive edifice never (probably due to the full metal case).
But you can simulate the signal:

and there is even an iphone app I believe.

  • As much as I like odd tech I think they go too far with these things.

I run a mechanical watch for the last 10yrs or so. I have to almost always adjust the calender at the end of the month. Then I check the time as well.

Works for me. I have a perpetual calender watch that lives in my drawer. Its a pain to setup.
