PS4 Star Wars Classic Games Code + 20% PSN Discount Code USD$13.75. US PSN Account Required??

http://gamedealdaily.com/playstation-4/star-wars-4-classic-g…

I was not sure about posting this as a deal. After some late night searching around I found a site selling the PS4 classic Star Wars game codes (Super Star Wars, Racer Revenge, Jedi Starfighter, Bounty Hunter) that were originally included in the Darth Vader limited edition console.

I am personally confused as to if the game codes could be redeemed on the Australian PSN store or if an American PSN account is required?

  • I do not believe they can be "redeemed" on the AU store, as the PS2 games on PS4 don't appear in our storefront yet.

BUT in saying that, I pretty confidently say it should work if you have a US PSN account to purchase and download then you should be able to play on your normal OZ account anyway.

I have previously purchased TLOU remastered digitally on my US PSN account and play it on my AU account just fine.

  • Yeah I know that the individual titles (expect for Super Star Wars) are not released for wider sale out side of the bundle, Sony did promise that they would be.

Given the somewhat unique status of these titles was not sure about region locking. I only have a single Australian account and would very strongly prefer to have them on that account.

    • In that case you don't want this. I strongly advise you to get over your compulsion to keep things on the one account and make use of a US account to save $$ though.

BTW I have the SW bundle from my SW console and most of the games do not stand the test of time well. Bounty Hunter and Super SW being the exceptions.

  • Anyone bought this on an Aussie account yet?

I saw someone on my PlayStation forum mention it, and I tried to find more info, then I decided I'd see if anyone was just selling their Aussie code because I wanted the games again, and now, as usual, doing research across the whole of the internet, has managed to take me back to OzB.

Anyway, I'll probably just buy it and make an American account if I really want the games, because that's a redonkulously good deal.

Edit: further digging, here's a bunch of people saying it worked, though some had a bit of trouble https://www.reddit.com/r/PS4Deals/comments/3whfrp/star_wars_…

I did discover this deal on reddit. There are a couple of other discussions, Although none directly answer the question we have here.

There is a Vita version of Super Star Wars, that I do believe this bundle entitles you to through cross-buy. But since the Vita is not as multiple account friendly as the PS4, if this code can not be used on Australian accounts, it is a lot harder to take advantage of that.

I have not purchased the bundle myself. I know some on OzB have fully embraced multiple accounts. Was hoping one them could report back.

      • I completely forgot about this deal, I've been thinking of making another account for a different reason, could easily make it American and go for this if I remember in the morning.

        Thanks for replying anyways.
