Xbox One TV Tuner, $29.95 (25% off) @ Microsoft Store

I haven't often seen these at a reduced price so nice to get 10 bucks off. I think you can go the whole cash rewards thing too, not sure about the Microsoft gift cards though.

  • is this a dual tuner? the hauppuage one available in the states is, but seems that this isn't

    • Official Xbox tuner is single-tuner only, unfortunately.
Still, not bad for the price.

  • You mean for simultaneous recording? These things don't record right now.

I've no idea which it is, feel free to have a dig and find out,

    • Oh, but they are meant to record at some point?

Next year they're adding DVR functionality. If I was a betting man I'd say this model will be superseded with a dual or tri tuner model to allow simultaneous recording and viewing.

        • I've a seperate pvr the rest of the family will still use so the dual or Tri tuner isn't really a need for me. A good point to note though.

At $30 I'm willing to go with this and maybe sell it off later if it becomes an issue.

        • @mackaxx: yeah, it's not like this is overly expensive should people want to upgrade. I've had one for a few months…rarely watch FTA but it does work well

    Thanks OP.
Just bought one, now Missus can watch stupid MKR or X-Y-Z factor on Xbox smartglass app on ipad and not bother me while I am serving the higher ask and busy saving the world from aliens-nuclear holocaust-bad guys-or when I am on a serious treasure hunt…

Any idea if this works with Windows.

  • I bought this not long ago and it died on me, trying to contact the section to get a replacment has been rather difficult, still wait. It is xmas time so maybe they have gone on holidays, I got mine through the ExpertZone Rewards program…

I assume it died because of a blackout or something strange, but the xbox wont detect it anymore

    • Could it have anything to do with your settings? Perhaps your consoles region? I forgot to change back from Canada to Australia and I had issues with the setup process. Then I realised I didn't do TV Tuner but instead I did set top box.

Reset the settings, switched to Australia and went through the process again and now I've got the BBL streaming on PC while playing Saints Row on the XB1.
