iPad 'i' Flash Drives

I've been looking into expanding the storage on my ipad pro since I'm stuck with 32gb. I don't need a lot more, just some space for holiday videos/photos I can plug into my ipad and play for family on the go. Has anyone ever used these before?

There are more expensive options from Sandisk (and other known brands) but the generic ones are just so much cheaper. Any input is most appreciated thanks!

  • I bought a cheaper eBay version. All worked great until iOS 9 update. I suggest you research before buying one.

The I stick one was faster than the I device one by heaps and had great video support like mkv etc. Played everything including subtitles.

    • Cheers mate, just wondering which device were you referring to by i-stick (as was it one of the above links?). I also heard about these devices not working on amazon after the latest update of which I'll have to search around for a fix. Thanks!

Edit: Did more research and noticed the i-stick is made by g-mobi and that's quite expensive. There is a fix out there but I can't confirm that it works so I think I'll have to wait for the compatibility issues with ios 9 to straighten out before I grab myself a device.

      • It's the cheap eBay ones under $20. I've tried all of them. They take SD or micro SD cards. Worked great until iOS 9. There isn't a fix for them yet and don't really expect there would be either.

        • Ah that's too bad then :( I'll keep a look out for a branded one at an affordable price and will let you know. Thanks for the advise mate.
