I understand the principle (and I find it to be completely unnecessary to be Honest…But each to his own).
The point I was trying to make is that over the past 2 weeks, I've noticed this trend growing. I wonder if anything has changed over the past 2 weeks…i.e are people being told to mention buckscoop in their posts, I wonder?

Tin foil hat off buddy ;) I only see long-term members reposting Buckscoop deals on here, and as Scotty says below, referencing is required (as well as giving the original poster a pat on the back)
See this. If a deal is found from other deal sharing sites / communities, we want to encourage our members to attribute or give credit to the source.
Some members that post deals find them on buckscoop and just repost it here. It's just giving credit where credit is due.
Though the user theearth had previously been an active member here.
