By far the best price I have seen on the Sigma and easily the best wide angle lens for APSC cameras you can get for the price. Found out I am out of touch with the Canon world and there is a great new Canon 10-18mm, which is probably better.

The Pentax lens is an even more epic deal: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1089881-REG/pentax_213…

The Pentax 16-85mm came out last year and has got rave reviews. It is a weather sealed lens, so ideally it should be combined with a weather sealed Pentax body - K-5, K-3, K30, K50, K-S2 etc.

Please avoid discussions about the merits of DSLRs vs mirrorless, the merits of Canon vs Nikon vs Pentax in this deal if possible.

If you don't already have a Pentax or Canon DSLR body, this deal isn't for you.

  • The Canon 10-18mm IS lens is $324.00 delivered from Camera sky and about $390 at walk in shops, to me thats a better lens if you have a Canon camera.

    • Canon has image stabilise and sigma doesn't. Any other reason why canon is cheaper and still better ?

      • All the reviews rate it's image quality as up there with the canon 10-22, which is an expensive lens. I got one locally for 340. Wide angles are a must if you shoot a lot of landscapes.

    • Fair point, haven't had a Canon DSLR for a few years - didn't know about the 10-18mm!

  • Not that I've been paying attention (and thus I may have missed another deal elsewhere before), but that is a cracking deal on that Pentax lens. Damn.

Canon 17-85 is 299USD. A very good price, thinking if I should upgrade from my tamron 17-50mm
