Broken TV

Bought a tv off thegoodguys ebay.

Looks like panel is faulty, sounds work but no visuals blank screen. I rang thegoodguys and they said to ring the manufacturer.

Will thegoodguys need to provide me a replacement? Are they required to do so or will they tell me to ring the manufacturer?

I have rung the manufacturer but they wanted the serial..serial is behind tv which is hung on the wall. So if I'm going through the effort of taking it down might as well get it swapped.

Thoughts?

The Goodguys are responsible for the repair/replacement of the TV if it is in warranty. Don't allow yourself to be fobbed off to the manufacturer, stand your ground and cite your rights.

You'll need to take the tv down regardless who you take it to, tgg or manufacturer

The Good Guys have to take care of this for you, however, it might be quicker to get it done via the manufacturer.

  • Thanks for the replies everyone. Will take it down and go manufacturer way for now.
