Third Party providers on Kayak.com.au and Skyscanner

Found some airfares on both sites from edreams and some oter third party providers where their fare using say singapore airlines was cheaper than buying directly from singapore air itself.

How does work? Are these third parties simply online travel agents and are they reputable? Has anyone had any bad experiences?

I had booked through one of these third party providers. In my case it was flight network and it was about 20-30% cheaper than any other deals i found. I had no problem with them. But i read review somewhere that when you have to cancel or rebook the flight, it could be a pain. As far as I know they are simply online travel agents. But it's worth checking online for review.

I've had no problems to date booking with these no name European providers. (edreams as of late)
There are some bad reviews about all types of booking sites, but it's a risk I'm willing to take.

I'm thinking anyone that lists on skyscanner would have to pass some sort of vetting or check as well.

  • i booked flights using air tickets from sky scanner, problem was they never booked my tickets, and found out some considerable time later.

  • It is a good idea to check that you have been sent an actual ticket number whoever you do any bookings whether direct or on a booking site. A reservation number is not enough.
