Samsung 52" 5 Series LCD's are on special at Bing Lee for $1499.

Advertisements may be coming out in the future however they are doing the deal now. All of Samsung's run out stock was purchased by them so they have over a thousand units to sell, while stocks last. Pop into your local Bing Lee store to purchase this great deal.

Samsung's site has it as $3599 RRP so that's about 60% off.

Specifications can easily be found http://www.samsung.com/au/consumer/tv-audio-video/television…

Basically Full HD, 50hz LCD. At this size there is nothing else on the market at this price.

Enjoy.

Note: I am a store employee - but I am in no way empowered to help you with anything in particular about this deal, I'm merely pointing it out for the benefit of others on OzBargain. I personally receive nothing from this deal.

Geeze….that's a a lot of screen for the price, even if it 50Hz.

    • I don't see a review there…just the manufacturer's description

Hi Peleus, they have it here: http://www.digitalcentre.com.au/p/859229/samsung-la52b550-lc… for $1,443 INCLUDING a 5 year warranty. Will you beat this?

As a general statement, I can't really enter into discussion as to if Bing Lee will beat other deals going around. Your best bet is to go into your local store and ask them, as different stores may be willing to do more / less.

I have no authority to say what Bing Lee will do and don't want to pretend otherwise, I merely checked the store rep box in the interest of full disclosure as I work for one of their stores.

Saying that, I hope they would for you, but have no idea.

  • quite a nice deal, but seems it's not exclusive to Bing Lee unless Digital Centre sells out and cannot get more of the same or similar

I'm continually amazed at the rate of price reduction with each lot of new hdtv models (every 6 months!), bring OLED or something and start at 10k again I say haha

    • wait till laser hits

        Pew pew.

        • pe pe pe pee ppeeww

  • Just so we know, the reason I stated exclusive is because Bing Lee has purchased all remaining stock from Samsung, so really anyone else out there wouldn't have any significant amounts of stock left. I can never say that no one would match any price, but if they do chances are it's below their cost.

If anyone feel's as though it's misleading I'll happily remove the words exclusive from the title.

  • No Bing Lee in Qld :(

  • Obviously not exclusive.

  • woot. went instore, and bargained the crap out of this for 1450 :)

    • +1

I wouldn't call a 3% saving "bargained the crap" but it is a good price none the less.

      • I think jline meant it as a toung-in-cheek comment :)

        • hell yah. they wouldnt budge… :( oh wells, extremely happy with my price!

    • Did you get a 5 year warranty, as well?

      • -1

As Samsung TV already comes with 3-year warranty, just paid with a gold or platinum card to get up to 2-year extra warranty.

        • +2

They come with a 12 month warranty.

          • @BargainMe: Didn't know Samsung has reduced the LCD TV warranty from 3-year to 1-year. Probably can expect reduced quality control and poorer reliability, otherwise there's no need to reduce the warranty period if they are confident that their TV will work 3 years trouble-free.

  • does clive peeters price match and 10% off?

    • apparently it's bing lee that only has this tv now, reread the description

  • This stock has been reduced by samsung due to the fact that Sonys 55" 100hz sells approx $2500 and Samungs LA55B650 ( 55" 100hz )and replacement model will be the same. Therfore a 52" 50HZ needs to be cleared.
Just about any store with stock left would have been given clearance money from Samsung. If your local has them they can do this price.

  • I LOOOOOVVVEEEE BINGGG LEEEEE! lol

  • This excites me. I've got about a year until my new home is built and ready for occupation. I want a 50-60" HD LCD with a decent 100Hz+ refresh. I want to pay $1500 or less.

With deals like this coming along and 1 year of time to wait it out, I reckon' it can be done.

    Sweet.

    • Yep.. thats just normal! in a years time Full HD and 100Hz will be the budget option for the cheapest of TV's

  • So is this a good TV , as in features and technologies .. not the price ? 50mhz good enough for action movies ?

    Thanks

    • 50 milli hertz? Yeah, that wouldn't be very good :P

      • lol i meant 50hz :p

  • Hi, just saw this and I am in the market for an LCD TV. Other than jline, did anyone else successfully purchase this unit at $1499 or get an even better deal please? I haven't visit their shop yet but may do so later today. Thanks!

  • I bough one of these on Thursday and picked it up this morning. All good so far.
However, I noticed that the in store price today has gone up $200. Must be a popular item.

    • Yeah, I think some of the stores are starting to realise that they pretty much have a monopoly on these and that there's still a strong demand - hence jacking up prices and refusing to do deals.
