Qantas do have price beat, so hardly likely to be any saving. Only real issue with this site and places like trivago is you miss out on hotel scheme points and benefits, I get free club access at Hyatt, IHG and Accor which is worth a lot of $$$, so I don't use any third party sites.
Why woukd u miss oit on the benefits by purchasing via the qantas store?
Hotels only give loyalty benefits when booking direct.
markis10- Yes they do. However they won't match if you use a 10% or 20% coupon on another site so the savings can still be substantial.

As I said I don't use Qantas hotels as I like my loyalty benefits which Hilton, Accor and IHG don't give. As for heading over to AFF, no thanks, I wrote most of the online guides to maximising hotel stays on that site ;)
I usually get hotels at 50 percent or less of the Qantas.com rate, thanks to the loyalty program and the odd trick it, mostly picked up on Flyertalk these days, and you can't use Qantas to price match those.
Checked vibe hotel GC in March - similar price to agoda.

Ive never booked a hotel through qantas before, do i need to use a particular type of credit card which is linked to qantas frequent flyer in order to get the points? What would happen is if paid using my amex velocity card?Hi Harthagan. There should be no problem if you've paid with your AMEX Velo. Afaik you just need to provide them with your QFF number.

Great deal except the hotel I wanted to book earnt zero points anyway due to a 20% off deal. Which was the same as booking.com anyway so… no reason to rush now :(
my banner still says 12 points per $1AUD spend… but the points it is showing is incorrect…
now they have updated it to 3 points per $1aud
Good points earn, however always check hotel pricing with sites like Wego, HotelsCombined, Trivago, taking into account any coupons etc as the money you might save could be more than the points are worth.
