Can you top it up with prepaid cards? I have $60 worth of cards I last year that I haven't redeemed yet.

    • +1

It says any payment method, so it sounds like it should work, but I'm not sure…

      • I reckon I'd be able to make a good case with Sony support if it doesn't work. :P

I would say yes based on their terms and conditions outlined below, Why companies don't make it black & white I'll never know.

“Applicable Payment Method” = Any available payment method.

      1. To take advantage of this Offer, Eligible Persons must:

      b. sign into their SEN account and top-up their PSN wallet with at least the Top-up Amount using an Applicable Payment Method on an Applicable Store during the Promotional Period (“Top-Up”).

      1. Note that the Top-Up need not be performed in a single PSN wallet top-up but may be performed in a number of top-ups during the Promotional Period. Full instructions on how to perform PSN wallet top-ups can be found at the Wallet Top-Up Instructions Webpage.
    • Just in case… Check your cards expiry date…

Are there any discounted gift cards going around so I can get psn cards on the cheap?

    How is 15% of $150 $20?

    • Yeah, it's not. The offer is 15% for other countries, for example, you get £15 for topping up £100 in the UK.

    • Other countries get 15% bonus. We get 13.3%…

      • The other countries have to spend the equivalent of ~AU$215 to get the offer though :)

        • Currently 100 pounds is $193.23AUD and 100 Euros is $149.19AUD.

@Kilgharrah: Aussie dollar doing better against the pound than I thought :)

Voucher is available from 8/3 to 27/3. Probably good for the new Hitman game.

    • I understand u redeem the voucher and the amount will be topped up in the wallet. Can spend those later

    • FYI a word of warning. If like previous promos (I did the PayPal one before) … these voucher codes must be used within a certain time. I didn't see the email come in and forgot about the bonus and when I went to use it, it had expired.

  • Currently have about $90 in my PSN account, will topping up the remaining $60 qualify for this offer? Or is it top a straight $150 regardless what's in there?

Also, unfortunately the PSN plus games ps4 selection has been in the muddy gutter lately…IMO. Either way, Hope they pull up their socks sooner enough to make this more worthwhile

    • Yeah. I'm hesitant to bite the bullet on this one. I'm new to PS4 so not really sure of the track record, but I've been Kind_of keeping an eye on it and the only thing that was worth buying in the last 3-4 months has been Uncharted.

  • Does PSN credit expire?

    • +2

not as far as i'm aware, have had money sit in my account for quite a while without any issue

    • +2

When they had the PayPal promo before, the code had to be used within a certain time but I don't think there's a time limit on when you'd need to spend the credit.

Have got exactly $150 in top up prepaid cards from 20% off @ Coles last year and PSN+ expires end of March..what a timing..time to redeem those

  • cryptokeys!!!!!!!! =D :(

    • You're gonna spend $150 on cryptokeys???

have been screwed by one of these deals before, not sure I want to risk never getting the extra credit again :\

    • Yep, I never received my $20 from the PayPal deal a year or so ago. I got sick of chasing (falling right into their evil little hands… ;))

      • Same here, not going to bother again

      • +1

Did you contact Sony support? When I didn't receive my credit all I did was give them a call and I had it within 24 hours.

        • Several times, to no avail. I'm glad some people managed to get it sorted though. :)

        • @flumpf:
I had to chase them up twice, but I did get the rebate from the Paypal deal eventually. May have been luck-of-the-draw in getting the right support staff member the 2nd time, though.

  • Does Payment method include prepaid card redeem??

If only the person who'd hacked my account on Tuesday had topped my account up with $150 instead of $80, damn it!

  • Lol… I'm still waiting for my credit from last time… so I'll have to skip on this.

  • meh don't think I'll top up since there are not sales on vita rpg games :(

  • I have never been able to top up either by PayPal, credit or debit cards. I always get the error:
The credit card information is not valid. Please check your entries carefully
So I have always had to use prepaid cards. Any ideas? I have had such bad support from Sony over the years that I can't be bothered contacting them.

  • Anybody having trouble purchasing top-up cards? The two store i went to to buy the rest of the $150 could get the authorising to work after i paid and had to refund me because it just kept doing it.

    • +1

Update: The service that does the authorising of psn card credit is down has been for the last 3 days so it can't do it.
      Great job, sony.

      • Yes, I tried with Paypal and with debit card. It keeps throwing an error that my card is invalid (which never happened before). Great timing…

  • Seem like so much trouble for the 13% I am very tempted but seeing people above has some turn down by the last deal.
Bigw is having 10% off giftcard. I am thinking of getting this and then use giftcard for psn card.
