EA Store - $20 off Any Purchase Over $39.95 (US Store Only)

PAXEAST842

With EA's extensive list of games, you can purchase any games and if the total comes to $39.95 or more, you get $20 off.

Only available in the US store, so you might have to use a US-based proxy or get someone from the United States to purchase it for you.

So with this, it might only be available for digital purchases. I have not checked myself.

This makes Battlefield Bad Company 2 for PC only US$19.95.

  • sounds super difficult to buy

    • It's up to you whether you think all the effort is worth saving $40 or so.

      Then again, this is Ozbargain.

  • when does this deal expire?

    • Deal expires today. It's a 1 day offer.

  • Wouldn't have a clue simonz, sorry.

  • u need a proxy, cause it will redirect u to aus store
use foxyproxy for firefox for that

i havent tried it yet, but it wud appear that most pricing and stuff is exclusive for the region the site is made for. so US for US residents, so unless its digital distribution, then u wont be able to get the game. if its digital distribution, then u can just make up a fake us address and download the game and cd key i guess.

    Isn't Bad Company 2 $99.95? I think its Battlefield 2 that is $39.95

    • $39.95 US Dollars. (on the US Store only) Although, that offer ends on the 28th March (US Time), then it's back to US$49.95.

The price fixing for territories by distributors is bullshit!!
We are not a third world country here where the price of our dollar is worth half of theirs, yet it's still the way they treat us. Even more so with digital distribution, which costs them very little.

      Take for example BF:BC2.
$99.95 on our digital store, yet only $39.95 on the US with equals $44.18converted to AU. $55 difference for downloading exactly the same game, just from a different part of the world. It incurs no extra cost from them over our US counterparts, yet they sting us more than 100% more. It's not just the US market though, with our strong $ compared to the pound, even our own PAL format is significantly cheaper from the UK. New released games for $50-$60, not $90-$110.

It's a joke, but until everyone realises what they're doing and starts either importing games or just not buying them at all from local store (or just buy secondhand) then they'll continue to do it.

I love threads like this one, anything to detract from local versions of online stores. Only thing is as mentioned to need to work around the re-direct to the local store.

Deal gets a big +ve from me (even more so with the huge saving) and everyone, Import games if you have the chance/means to do so. :)

Well it definitely does list a price of $19.95, guess its just a matter of faking address details.
