I couldn't get one of these to pair with my laptop's bluetooth. Need to use the dongle…

Pretty difficult to pair a mouse that has no bluetooth connectivity.

        Sounds as frustrating as blueballs.

        That would explain it then…

  • The mouse spec sheet said:

** Blue LED Technology does not work on glass and mirrored surfaces

    • yep, it's optical, not laser…

  • It shows $47 and not $8 on web page ?

    • Starts Saturday

    • As the description above says, The $8 sale starts saturday.

  • Sorry my bad just overlooked that and jumped onto the webpage …

  • How does this compare to $15 Microsoft deal?

Both W15 mice I've used have poor battery life, one set of cells only lasted five weeks. Toshiba claims up to 1 year - I'd say, no way.

The problem with Toshiba's W15 is the peak current through the blue LED, it's almost bright enough to be a torch. I measured peak current as 30-35 mA. No wonder the pair of AAAs died young.

Logitech M235 & M325 mice have excellent battery life, so does a Microsoft 1000. MSY sells the M325 for $15, less on special. I can recommend them.

Our local Harvey Norman has a bin of Toshiba W15s. They were asking $49, then $28 and now $8. Get one if you use your mouse sparingly, otherwise get something else

    • worked ok for me but i was turning it off when not in use

      • I got 18 months battery life from a Logitech M325 without turning it off. Happy with that! Same use & conditions gave me 5 weeks with the Toshiba W15.

        • Fair enough, maybe it was faulty.

Movement from carrying it in my bag not turned off wakes it up constantly and batteries don't last (LED gets much brighter and can use it as a torch at a pinch). It also wakes up my laptop and drains it's battery so I turn mouse off anyway.
Turning off while transporting gives 1+ years, same lifespan as if its just sitting on desk. ie not being moved in down time.
          I have multiple…

PS Blue LED works better on a red surface than a red LED, Scrub that mental image of me using it in bed with red sheets and replace it with one where I'm at a table with red cloth haha.

  • Its Saturday now… 8 dollars on webpage however full price when i check the cart

  • What is the size/height compared with the Logitech M325/M305. Microsoft is a tad too small/low profile for my hand and knuckles hurt by end of day so that's now just a backup.
Logitech M325/M305 is higher than many and no problems, my flatter Logitechs caused same issue until offloaded.

I guess at this price I can try a few hehe +
