  • Do you have a sim that includes calls to Oz? The T-Mobile card I bought last year included calls to landlines, doesn't seem to be the case with this one.

    • Not at the moment mate, sorry!

      • Thanks for the quick reply!! Do you think you'll have something in the next month or so, I have a trip coming up in May?

  • Just looking at your website and options, should I choose the T-Mobile Unlimited 4G data + call & SMS pacakage at $99 (and use the above code)? Cheers

    • Hi Anna,
No please select the $69 6gb plan and apply the code!

  • You can get this deal at Walmart for $30 if you are willing to land in the USA and then go and buy the SIM.

      Bunny is referring to: https://prepaid-phones.t-mobile.com/other-prepaid-plans

It's a nice plan, but the differences are:
-only has 100 minutes (counts outbound and receiving calls)
      -unlimited SMS for USA only
-5GB of 4G data as opposed to 6GB
      -No tethering
-Not compatible with unmetered video/music streaming
      -manual online activation

Honestly I believe that the $30 is great value and that's what I'd choose (SIMs are frequently $1), but it's not for every situation.

      • Yeah I just set up a Google Voice number to use whenever I am over there, works great with the data. Don't even use the T Mobile number.

Also tethering has worked every time I have gone over and purchased this, which is often, as my wife is American.

Cos, the 6 GB is only $69, not $100, just wanna make sure I'm choosing the correct one.

    • Yes it is the right now. We just have our normal prices below RRP as well!

  • I'm waiting for a sale on the AT&T SIM deal. Any chance of that please rep?

    • We basically sell AT&T on no margins, which stops us from doing any deals on them. If we were too ever it would be a very light discount though anyway. Sorry.

  • I'm heading over in a few weeks so this looks to be ideal. I'll be there for 37 days, what is my best option for that last week? Cheers

    • Hi mate, we can help you out with that extra week. We can top it up with an extra week for an additional $15. But in your case what I would ask is purchase at full price and mention your OzB username and the extra week option and for the $9 you miss out on the deal we will sort out an extra week for you!

  • Walmart have similar prepaid sim for around $30

    • From what we understand it is quite a different card. Credit values and so on are quite different.

      • It's an unlimited plan - we used it in our Australian iPhones

    • I guess that depends on how tight your budget is and how much you value your time. If you're travelling as a tourist, the an additional $32 to have it delivered before you depart and being able to use it the second you step off the plane is great value. By the time you factor the time and inconvenience of going to Walmart plus possible travel cost to get there I'd say this deal is a long way ahead.

  • Thanks.

I purchased this - I'm going to USA in May. I used TMobile last time and it was great.

Do you happen to have anything similar for Canada?

    Paul

    • Unfortunately not at the moment but we are looking! :)

  • Thanks Rep. Wanted to know if this prepaid sim has unlimited streaming option (Binge On). Would love to access US Netflix in my downtime. If yes, then I am sold.

  • Buyers need to be aware that if they have old phones or a new phones that do not have the same 3G/4G band/frequency as T-Mobile they will get very slow speeds (edge/2G). Their coverage map is also misleading as even though the map shows the area as having 3G/4G that doesn't mean that you will get great 3G/4G speeds. You will get very poor speeds which are more close to edge/2G (similar to how shit Vodafone was a few years ago). I experience that in the LA, New York and Texas area when I had the SIM.

Do a search and you will find out that there are heaps of ppl who can verify what I'm saying.

Do yourself a favour and get a AT&T go-sim which is the same but with 5Gig (after 5gig is used the speed dramatically drops) of data instead of 6. AT&T are pretty much the Telstra of america, but Their prepaid plans are reasonable.

    • In Breck right now with TSD T-Mobile SIM deal and reception and speeds are fine for mail and web, on $100 Galaxy Trend Plus. Daughter has AT&T bought locally, on $1000 iPhone and my mountain reception is better than hers. This is the tenth time I've travelled with T-Mobile all over the 52 states and I've never had reception problems anywhere. I've had previous experience with AT&T here and their customer service sucks, like Telstra ten years ago. Just sayin' .. 😊 .. !!

  • I'm just going to NYC for a month so it will be fine. What size sim do I need for an iPhone 6?

    • +1

A nano :) Our current batch comes in a 3 in 1 multi size pack anyway though so you can't go wrong!

  • HiThere

I notice that it says activate by May 31st

I will be arriving in the states on the 1st of June! Is there a way to activate prior to the 1st from Sydney?

    • That would be fine mate. Just put 1st of June and we will extend the activation for you! :)

  • I land on the evening of 2nd April and put this as the activate date. Is it safe to assume when I land, I can pop the sim in and have data access?

    Thanks.

  • I ordered and paid last night and sent you a PM on here to ask if you would please hold off posting the sim till just before Easter. Would that be OK? Cheers

    • +1

No problem will post a few days before Easter!

  • I'm in the USA from 8 to 13 June - I will be there for under a month so there shouldnt be any problem in activating it on 31 may ?

    • Sorry about the late reply, not at all!

      • Any chance you can still do the deal even thought its expired ? I was waiting for your reply……

  • +1

I was recommended this by a friend and ordered Sunday night with delivery today (tuesday) and that included a labour day public holiday. Very impressed so far, lets hope it works when I land in the U.S

    • Your lucky I'm still waiting for an order on the 2nd March with no contact from the support email requests.

      • Hi mate, was yours a USA or Japan sim? There was a slight delay in shipping Japans as that sale was a lot more popular than expected but if it isn't it may be lost mail. Either way we will get to the bottom of it!

  • +1

Hi rep any deal if i buy 9? I pmed you

  • Hi - you mention activate before 31 May. I depart on 20 May if I activate
on 20 May will I still get 4 weeks coverage into June? What other countries can I call?

    • Yes you will still get the full 4 weeks!

  • Do you actually get an email when they have shipped your order? I ordered last week and heard nothing.

Think I will buy elsewhere next time as really not that difficult to send an email to say they have shipped my order.

I also emailed them yesterday but still no response and I'm travelling next week!

    • Hey mate, sorry site was playing up! Hope you are having a ball over there with your sim!

  • +1

I got mine - thanks! Look forward to testing this out.
